Hi Everyone
This is my second sugical attempt at weight loss surgory. I had a Laband put in in Feb 2010 and had it removed in Oct 2012. Yes I had a positive weight lose over the first year of approx.30kgs But I struggled consently with finding the right amount of fluid to keep it at a level that was comfortable for me. I spent the better half of the 2yrs after almost every mean in the bathroom throwing my means back up. I tried everything from liquid diets to custard consistancy foods to stop it but nothing wroked.
After 2 and a bit yrs of this I told my surgeon after discussing on many visits pre making up my mind that I had had enough and it was time to take it out. My options at this point was leave it out and see if i could lose weight or have more surgory. many discussions wiht my surgeon he convinsed me that sleeving was the best option for me... being he only does bypass as a last resort. and 10 weeks after having the band took out i will be having my sleeve operation.
I am currenly waiting for the 10 of december to come around. Nervous as hell. and hoping this will be the weight loss help I need.
atm I rarely try to exercise cause I get to sore and out of breath. after 5mins of walking I am usually looking for a seat or a fence to lean up against. NO GOOD IN MY BOOK. I think it is worse the second time around before the band I was alot fitter. :( I am hoping that once i lose some weight I will beable to start regular exercise again.
Anyway thats me.
