I don't know what happened today. At work we had a breakfast potluck. I did ok at first I had some cheese, 1/2 turkey sausage and applesauce. Then I ate a glazed doughnut. Then when I got home I had a few bites of strawberry cheesecake. WTH!!! I cant believe I ate all those sweets. Just venting!!

@pipula...YES I would have had atleast 3 doughnuts and the whole slice of cheesecake, which is my favorite. I don't think I overdid it, just ate what I shouldn've ate. Tomorrow will be better!

Thanks everyone for all the kind thoughts and encouragement. Reading other people stories definately gives me that extra encouragement I need. Keep up the good work everyone!

My strips stayed on for about 2 1/2 weeks, and then I pulled them off the rest if the way. When I was in the shower I just made sure that they got soaked. No problem.

289 Lbs To Go. Is It Even Possible?!
mgsmith replied to makemyownluck's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
@makemyownluck...don't feel bad, when I started my BMI WAS 67.1 at weight 477 now I am 405 as if today and BMI down to 64. I am also 5'10 and I would say my surgery was a success. I had no complications and no problems other than the usual side effects. -
My license expires next year and I can't wait to take a new one so I can put my correct weight!!!LOL

I had the same problem with my knees. I have DJD in both knees. I was sleeved on Sept. 12 and I have NOT had any problems with my knees. I feel great about that. Having surgery was the best decision I've made for myself. I would start with the insurance co to find out what centers are in your area. Also check your local hospital. Good luck with your journey.

When Do People Notice?
mgsmith replied to sramos89's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Some people @ my job noticed as soon as I returned back to work. The first place they saw it was my face and neck. Now I am almost 2 months and I get compliments quit often now. People show their weight lost at different stages, don't get discouraged. -
U was sleeved in Sept. 12 of this year and I have had my up and downs. I have been on this journey for a year and I am happy with my small success. Today @work I had my yearly physical. When I walked in the nurse said that it looked like I had lost some weight. I told her I had surgery. When I got on the scale it said 408.6. Last year it said 477. I couldn't believe it. That's almost 70 lbs that I hope never to see again. I know that if I hadn't gotten my sleeve I would still be weighing 477 maybe even more!! Just wanted to share.

Weekly Miralax Date
mgsmith replied to katie.brooks's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had this problem also and yes I was admitted to the hospital for 4 days....I was given everything, enemas, suppositories, mag citrate nothing worked. On my 4th day I finally went. My potassium was down which caused me to have a ileus which slows things down. I take a softner everyday and I am slowly getting back to regular 2-3 times a week.
