Breast Reduction/Lift *Graphic Pics
MPrado replied to DEZ1975's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Thank you all for the info. I am six months out of wls and am exploring ps. Before surgery I was a DDD/ F. I have recently noticed my breasts being deflated, like raisins. I have lost all volume. I went to Victoria Secret (I figured if anyone could lift them, they could! well I ended up with a push up but after wearing it for a day I noticed they were "puddling". In other words, they were spilling out near the bottom of the demi bra. I feel hopeless for the next 6 months, until a ps will even look at me! At least I have hope now! -

I was told the reason they want you to wait, is so you have room in your sleeve for the food and the nutrients after. Unless your only few days/weeks out, then everything is Fluid like. I also heard fluid flushes the food faster, I don't know if this means the nutrients won't absorb as well? PS. I love those popsicles too! They have satisfied my sweet tooth.

When I saw my Nut, she suggested I start juicing with more veg. (Think Kale and Spinach), light fruit (1/2 a banana or 1/2 orange cuts the veg taste) and unflavored protein powder. Also, I like the chocolate protein, with banana and peanut butter. It adds extra calories and nutrition. I got to the point where I wasn't losing anything because I couldn't get in enough calories, protein or water. For fluids, I have started using the Mio energy. It's like crystal light but more fruity flavors, like blueberry lemonade. Good luck to everyone!

I was sleeved Nov 6 and have done really well so far, a couple weeks of stalls but they would pass in a week. My Nut said I'm above the curve in weightloss (49 lbs) for my body but over last weekend I had a bridal shower and family stay with me. I ended up with a 2 lb. gain. It was a real wake up call for me. I was grazing all weekend! I am getting back on track with food. It's funny... 4 months out and still adjusting... What do Nov sleevers menus look like now? -

I am in the same boat! I'm glad to know it's very common in our community, and not just me. Thanks to everyone for their inspirational posts. Now I think I can feel better about killing myself at the gym(I thought it was working against me) and hopefully get better results with these new additions! -

Thanks Ashelaine! Interesting, I would have thought our bodies would need more than one day. -

Ok to all of us who are "upping calories" to get out of stalls... We really have to remember how we got here. I don't know how many days your suppose to keep up the higher calorie intake but I'm sure it's no more than a few days??? That should work through the stall. Anyone have any info on this? -

So I just started working out. I was concentrating on cardio more than strength training. Do you think its better for us to do more strength? I know a good balance but I usually do 3 days of cardio and 2 days strength training. -

That's one of my biggest fears as well! I try not to stretch my stomach, and have recently become so aware of how much I'm eating, in fear. If I wanted to, I would probably be able to eat 3/4 of a cup at a time and I'm 8 weeks out. -
Dose anyone know if we can drink gatorade

I like the propel zero powder packets and add it to smart water. It is slightly less sweet(due to ratio), but has been a lifesaver to get all my fluids in! -
Questions after near death experiance in operating room?
MPrado replied to Kapoorvilla's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That's what I was thinking! I had three c-sections and with #2 and #3, they said I had a lot of scar tissue and had complications and drains upon recovery. When I feel my lower abdomen, I can feel a numb 4in section where my Dr said it was an accumulation of scar tissue. When speaking to my WLS Dr. he never showed any concern. And I was in and out and never even had pain in my lower abdomen. I think the Dr made an oops and looked for a way out! I would definitely look into it! -
