When i saw my nut last Monday she told me that prenatals are not enough and recommended i stay on the fusion at 4 a day and add Calcium, folate, D3 and Iron. I really hate this conflicting recommendations everyone seems to give. Ugh so confusing!

Thanks for all your input. Guess i'm just being impatient. Didn't get obese over night guess it's not gonna come off so easily either. I'm thankful for no more metformin and normal blood sugars.

:)I agree with NikkiV1986. If you have a juicer you could do the juice fast. Good Luck -
Sleep Study scheduled... fingers crossed Sleep Apnea, lol!

When i had my sleep study a year before even hearing or know about WLS They didnt wake me up to put a cpap on and within days of the sleep study the Dr. called to tell me he was sending over a oxygen machine asap till i could come back in for an other night to find out what pressure the cpap needed to be on then he made an appt. for me to him for the stats. 114 apneas in an hour!! 30 and over is considered severe! So ya they may not put you on a cpap during the study if they see you have it but you can ask the techs in the morning before you leave the center if they saw anything. They can't give you specifics per say. -

About a week. Good Luck -
I have been doing a lot of research lately about healthy living. Plant based foods etc. I am worrying myself sick about the what if's. I just wish there was more data out there about your health 10-20 years down the road with VSG. I don't want to trade my current health issues for a different set of health issues. I currently have sleep apnea, diabetes and high cholesterol. Just so confused if i could turn all these health issues around with plant based foods etc. I guess what i'm searching for is people that have tried these options and decided on VSG anyway. Regrets? Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks.

Thank you Ladies for your responses. Tomorrow I have my 4th appointment at the surgeons office. 2 more then the big submit! Looking forward to the future and god willing see my 2 yr. old daughter have kids of her own. I feel at peace with my decision to have the surgery. Thank you all again.

I too look forward to losing the c-pap mask and hopefully the diabetes. May or June can't come fast enough! Good luck to you!

I am worried as i have been losing weight lately after my recent diagnosis of diabetes. My dr. has put me on metformin and this past month i have lost 10 lbs. I am not complaining but i'm worried i will lose too much and my BMI won't be high enough to qualify for surgery! If i knew i could lose all the weight myself i wouldn't be worried. Anyone lose a lot of weight on metformin??

Losing Weight Before Surgery
mommy1990 replied to mommy1990's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
My BMI right now is 37 my insurance will pay if you have 2 co-morbidities and BMI is between 35-40. I have severe sleep apnea, high cholesterol and diabetes so I'm covered there. I just hope I don't lose to much Someday I would really like to sleep without my c-pap mask.....forever! -
I agree. To have WLS for 35 pounds does seem drastic. I cant believe the Dr. would even do the surgery. I would question his motives. Good luck in whatever you decide.

Sleeve Vs Bypass
mommy1990 replied to READY TO LOSE IT's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I have been struggling with what surgery to have myself and been trying to do a lot of research about both. They thing that worries me about the sleeve is what if something goes wrong down the line and i need that extra stomach that was removed and what about long term success/complications, there is not a lot of data on that out there. But then i read about all these complications with the bypass and i think that overall the sleeve is the direction i am leaning towards. -
I quit smoking after 25+ years I quit on Oct. 8th cold turkey. On day 10 i had a fight with the hubby and smoked a menthol (hate menthol) after that i stayed smoke free till a couple nights ago and had another menthol and i felt so sick i almost vomited so i will not be smoking again lol. I do have an e-cig with 0 mg of nicotine. I don't use it often but it helps when i get the cravings real bad. Good luck to you! Stay strong!
