    Regrets???

I’m 3.5 years out. I have zero regrets. The first 8 weeks were tough though. I had trouble with shakes so I was exhausted and extremely weak. After I was able to eat more things quickly got better. I have gained some back from my lowest weight. I’m working on getting back down...this isn’t magic. It may take years but if you don’t eat right YOU WILL GAIN IT BACK. Thankfully I’ve pulled my head out of my arse before it got too bad. This is something we will have to pay attention to for a lifetime. As soon as you give yourself excuses to eat this or that... you’re heading back down the wrong path.
  2. I'm 5'5" and started at 255....my pics are on my profile.
  3. 11 months out....I can't eat chili. Well...I take that back. I can but I regret it later so it's really not worth it.

  5. The first few weeks are going to be tough. You just have to do what your dr tells you and get through it. Try to keep your mind busy and not on food. Turn off the tv when commercials come on because I swear...EVERY one of them is for food after you have surgery and it's a mind f***.

    So Pissed Off At Subway!

I get the salads from Chick Fil A that have the apple, strawberry, blueberry, nuts, and grilled chicken. SO good and it lasts 2-3 meals. I'm about 11 months post op.

    Protein help!

EAS carb control is the only one I am able to tolerate. It's 11oz for 17g of Protein and thats the main drawback...you have to drink more to get it all in. But they taste a lot better and I can drink them without gagging.

    Multi chewable vitamin

Go to Puritan.com I've found a lot of chewables there and they aren't expensive. I got the calcium tablets that taste like coffee, the fruity Vitamin D and the dissolvable Biotin...other than that I'm taking two Flinstones a day.

    Hair Loss

I take the same thing. My hair is thick but has been shedding a lot lately. In the shower and after I comb out my hair I can pull like 10-20 strands out just from running my fingers through it...its freaking me out too. I'm 3 months post.
  10. Ok.... My hair is falling out. I figured it would happen but hoped that I would be one of the lucky ones. I have very thick hair so I'm only mildly concerned. Anybody else?

    I'm scared I'll be saggy....

Make the choice to have the surgery and don't look back... Otherwise in a year you will be where you are now or worse. I debated over it for three years... That's three years I wasted being fat. I was sleeved 8 weeks ago and I'm down 40 lbs that will never come back.

    Fruit and veggies

I go to my 8 week appt in a week or so. Just curious what may be added.
  13. At what point post surgery were you allowed to start having fruit and veggies again? 6 weeks? 8?
  14. It forces you to detox on all the bad crap your body is currently telling you that you need. To me that has helped with the food addiction part of things but once you can start eating more foods it becomes up to you to make the right choices.

    Light headed and tired

Totally normal. I'm about 6 weeks out now and just starting to feel somewhat normal again. Everyone handles the recovery differently and I would get discouraged by reading of others feeling great after just a couple weeks while meanwhile it was a struggle to take a shower without having to sit on the side of the tub to rest. I agree that you must be sure to get your water in and your protein.
