    Mayday May Day!

Congrats on getting your date good luck with surgery and your journey
  3. Yeah I had to do the 6 month diet too. Took me 2 years to get accepted. The 6 months actually went by quickly and helped me to learn my diet I will need after surgery. Sorry you had to go through all of that, and good luck with your surgery and your journey here on out

    Frustrated

Don't feel bad, stories are different but they can be just as frustrating it helps to vent none the less.

    Frustrated

I know how you feel. Took me 2 years to get approved, worried the whole time I wouldn't qualify. But eventually I did, and it was all worth it. Keep your head up and don't give up, you won't regret it, I never have regretted the struggle to get approved good luck with your journey.

    Complications....?

I personally didn't get a revision, but one of my really good moms did. So I will tell you a bit about her. She had her revision done in the middle of December, she got a leak and because of it she was put in the hospital on a feeding tube for 3 weeks. After that she got a little better for about a week then went back to discover another leak! She is doing good now though but she went through a lot of stuff.

  13. I know what you mean, I felt the same way...when I was a child I was in gymnastics and dance too..maybe that is why I love the gym so much now, because it is making me remember those things, being active....and I use to love it. And I also know what you mean about friends and confidence...mine has greatly improved, I hope the same for you If you want to chat or have questions feel free to send me a friend request, I am open to chatting anytime

    Frustrated!

I would have done the same thing, it might be frustrating, but think of it this way... Would you rather not weight and have to be in a dirty hospital, or wait a little longer for something better? But I know it is frustrating, it took me 2 years to even get accepted! And I had to go to 3 different hospitals before finding the one my insurance approved. But trust me, in the end, it is worth it..and all the frustrations will disappear! Keep your head up, look towards the future and good luck in your journey
  15. Actually I really did hate working out before surgery. I started to like it more when I found a work out buddy, now it is more like hanging out...working out and chatting with a friend. It took me about a month before I started to like the gym at all...but after I realized how good it made me feel after working out I started to like it. And of course it is always awesome to see improvement in the gym as well. For example: When I first started the gym I could only do 5 mins on the elliptical, now I can easily do 30. Or like when I started I couldn't even do the stair master...it was too hard, now I am up to doing 10 mins on it every time I go So those types of things have given me motivation to keep going and to keep on my diet.
  16. Don't beat yourself up too much, it is hard to change. Just keep reminding yourself on why you had the surgery, and look towards the future. What's done is done and all you can do is pick yourself up and start again trying to stay on your diet Good luck with everything!

    Hello ppl

    Hello
  18. It was very hard for me to stop eating the bad stuff, but weirdly a few months after surgery, and getting more into working out...I enjoy that more than I do with eating now. So I make sure I get all of my intake for the day calorie/protein wise and that is about it...yeah it was hard at the beginning..it is something you learn. Good luck with your journey!
