    When can you drink

    I tried some at around 4 months post op it didnt feel good. every once in a great while I take a sip or two. For the most part I dont drink it
  3. I can eat and eat what ever I want I indulge in naughty foods once in a while and mostly try to stick to healthy balanced foods. I eat bread up to 3 times a day sometimes. I dont use butter at all.I eat low fat dairy And make protein a main part of each meal.

  5. Hey sleevers. I wanted to share a diet I am starting today! I have 20 pounds to go and am only losing 1 pound a week on 1000 calories and 5 days of exercise for 1 hour at the gym. So to speed things along I have decided to do the Mayo clinic diet. It says you will lose 20 in 2 weeks. how convenient thats how much I have left to lose If anyone would like to join me or try this diet I have included the menu and rules. I think my body has become used to what I have been doing so im gonna try this for the next 2 weeks and hope to God that these last 20 pounds fall off Mayo clinic diet Diet for 2 weeks only Abstain from anything not included in the diet and be sure to eat what is assigned rather than do without. NO EATING BETWEEN MEALS!!! Breakfast is the same everyday 1 or 2 eggs,grapefruit or a cup of grapefruit juice + coffee/tea no sugar or cream. Monday lunch: 2 eggs, grapefruit/juice Dinner:2 eggs ,grapefruit/juice,combination salad,1 piece dry toast,coffee black Tuesday lunch:2 eggs , tomatoes, coffee dinner:steak,tomatoes,cucumber,lettuce,olives,coffee Wednesday lunch:2 eggs , spinach,coffee dinner:2 lamb chops,celery,cucumber,tomatoes,tea Thursday lunch:2 eggs,spinach,coffee dinner:2 eggs, cottage cheese, 1 toast, cabbage Friday lunch:2 eggs , spinach, coffee dinner: fish, combination salad,dry toast, grapefruit/juice Saturday lunch:fruit salad(put in any fruit you want) eat as much as you can dinner: plenty of steak,celery , cucumber,tomatoes , coffee Sunday lunch:chicken,tomatoes,carrots,cabbage,grapefruit/juice, coffee dinner:Cold chicken, tomatoes, grapefruit/juice Warning: do not stay on this diet for more than two weeks Weight loss should be about 20 pounds in 2 weeks, basis of diet is chemical and maintains normal energy while reducing weight. quantities are only important were indicated. whiskey may be taken on days when meat is eaten, otherwise NO Alcohol So, I got this diet from my sister. today's day one. if anyone wants to give it a go and test it out let me know how you do . My weight today is 170 I'll check back and let you all know how I did have a nice day

    Eating every two hours?

    I am not hungry or get hungry most of the month but there is a few days that pass by were I feel like I want to eat the world! It seems to be every month it happens for 2-4 days. I think it has something to do with hormones in the body. I had this before my surgery and would eat a whole lot of stuff when it happened! thank god for my sleeve.

    try to eat a meal , drink 16 ounces of water, then meal, drink 16 ounces of liquid , meal , drink , snack , drink. I do this and helps me to not over eat and get all my liquid in .Good luck

    Can we talk specifics?

    Mexico for 8600. I got VSG. If I wanted to get my plastics done I could now but I cant afford them yet. Im 9 months out and have lost 123 pounds. I got a consultation for breast lift with implants here in michigan USA for 11,000 . Im so happy with the results. I feel like woman!
  11. I lost 9 pounds in September. thats 2.25 pounds a week. I also have lost 8 inches. Grand total of 123 pounds and 102.4 inches lost. I now fit in a size 8 pants!cant believe it I was a 24. My next goal is 159 which is a healthy BMI for me. Then I want to get to 135 if possible. I want to wear heels and I am still not comfortable in them. It is better but I think if I drop a little more weight it would help. Also when I cross my legs its gets uncomfortable after a minute or two. here some more stats Pre op diet :288 lbs Surgery DEC-21-13: 276 lbs January: 252 February: didn't measure march 1st :233 April 1st :221 may 1st :211 June 1st :199 July 1st :190 august 1st :183 September 1st :174 October 1st :165

    I guess I'm joining a little late but the challenge sounds great . I'm currently 165 and would like to be 150 by then. Its allot but you never know.

  15. In order to continue to drop weight you need to remain at 600-800 calories a day. I feel like thats the most important thing to keep losing. All those calories should come mostly from protein.Eggs,fish,steak,ground beef,lentil,beans,shrimp,greek yogurt ,cottage cheese and cheese sticks. You need 75 or more grams of protein a day also important. Drink 64 or more ounces of water a day. When I dont drink water my weight stalls, I think because the body cant remove waste without enough.Take your vitamins daily to keep energy levels up. Try to exercise 3-5 days a week. Measure your food and blog it in myfitnesspal.com. It allows you to see daily protein intake ,calories,carbs etc..Measuring cups,spoons and a scale are also very helpful. Good luck on your journey

  17. My highest weight was 301, day of surgery 276. surgery date 12-21-2012. Today I'm 165. my current goal is 150 . after that 135. I'm 5'7

    Hey all my December sleevers! I wanted to update you all on my progress on the mayo clinic diet. As of this morning I have dropped 5 pounds in 5 days. Yesterday evening I got a horrible migraine after drinking tea with lots of equal so I quite the diet. I will be trying again in a couple days to get the last 10 pounds off fast. I have now lost a total of 123 pounds! I cant believe it! love my sleeve

    All of my December sleevers...

    I'm 5'6 and a half. I'm 172 now my goal is 150. My new pcp wants me to be 140. A normal BMI for my height ranges from 117-156 . there is allot of different ranges out there. Ive been exercising allot which has lead to me eating more! I eat up to 1200 calories on almost every day of the week. I exercise 5 days a week. I cant seem to eat less than that without feeling hungry or tired. My surgeon said the first 6-9 months or year is the golden year. weight loss slows down after that. I have 22 pounds to go.I want to be done. I want to go into maintaining mode already! wish I was still losing 2-3 pounds a week
