Who would NOT do it again and why?
mariamitani replied to LOVESAQHA's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Im 11 weeks out and as the others said I would not think twice. I'm very happy that I did it. Ive lost 55 lbs so far. I have been trying to lose weight for so long. Ive lost 70 pounds in the past and gained it back with extra lbs. Ive lost 50 lbs many times alone and gained it back. This is the first time I feel that I have control over how much I eat. My family said Why get the surgery when you can eat small portion on your own without it? well I can do that but after a while I fall back into my old ways due to problems depression or simply boredom. By the time you get your surgery date mentally you will be ready for change. It will be difficult in the beginning becasue the sleeve is swollen but when it goes down it will be easy going. Listen to your sleeve for signs that your full and youll do great. -
Could be dehydration or leak. Contact your surgeon ASAP Good luck hope all goes well for you

I Can't Wait To Not Have To...
mariamitani replied to BrickHouse's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Cant wait to wear heels comfortably -
I noticed in too. For me it was kind of a good thing all my acne went away I think we eat so much less nutrients and fats after surgery our skin is not producing as much oil to keep it moist. I bought nivea body wash that has oil and cream in it for showering. Hot water will strip your skin of its oils. For my body after showering I use cocoa butter with vitamin E by palmers, vaseline cocoa body gel oil, or eucerin cream they work well. Also drink lots of water. Eat fish and nuts.

I had a pair of pants that I bought from target that had a waist that was very loose and stretchy thats what I wore and was fine. dont forget to wear a sports bra no steel because it put pressure on your tummy.

I am stuck and not sure why
mariamitani replied to ashleywi's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Weight gain or stalls can be caused by not exercising enough or too much carbs. You are obviously exercising enough so maybe carbs? The POO thing does sounds possible too. Goodluck I hope you start loosing soon -
I'm not eating or drinking enough... Day 3 post op
mariamitani replied to Jessie Lyons's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The trick is to sip and wait sip and wait. Always have a bottle near by. when I was early out I set out all the liquid I needed for that day and did my best to drink all day! Its like a job you have stay on top of it or you will get sick dizzy and lightheaded. Good luck -
Curious as to how much weight I'll lose
mariamitani replied to Harpo's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I think you will lose most of your access weight. I also don't eat junk food BUT eat stews in large quantities. Sounds like this is exactly what you need. according to my doc 60-70% of your access weight will be lost. Good luck -
