I think each person is different. It depends on your body type(were you gain fat- all over, on top , on bottom), Height , highest weight you have been, age, gender. I have a friend that did bypass and all her weight was on top(highest weight 301) 5'7''. Her legs had no sagging but her top was all hanging. I gain weight all over(Heighest weight 300)5'7'' I have slight sagging on my arms and thighs. But I believe with weightlifiting I can avoid plastic surgery. Exercise and lift weights full body. and hope for the best. Good luck

mariamitani replied to findjoy13's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
1-2 weeks for me. Till today at 4 months I cannot chug water. I still take small gulps one at a time waiting n between each a second or 2. If I chug it hurts and is uncomfortable. My Doc gave me pain meds that were sublingual(melt under your tongue). They also didnt cause dowsyness. Hang in there it will get better day by day. your sleeve is still swelled and tender. It can take up to a month for swelling to go down. :0 hope you feel better. -
First week was clear liquids for me. Week 2 and 3 I was allowed green tea,low sugar cocoa made with skim milk, skim milk, crystal light, low sugar juices. it will definently get better day by day. Hang in there

All of my December sleevers...
mariamitani replied to blkdiamond377's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Yesterday I hit month 4 post op. I have lost 73 pounds so far. My weight-loss has been slowing down significantly. I was loosing 3 pounds a week for 2 months straight. this week I lost 1.6 lbs. last week 2.4. I have not been watching my food lately so I'm guessing that's it. Hopefully by next week I will be back on track. Writing down what you are eating is very important! -

I had the same issue. Got a cat scan nothing. Turned out to be gastritis. I went on omaprazole 20g daily. By day 4 I was 70% better. Good luck -
You are doing this so you will have more energy to run around after that baby. So, you can live a long healthy and happy life. I have three girls and am down 72 pounds. I'm very happy I got the surgery. I have more energy now and am allot happier than when I was before the weight-loss It is tuff in the beginning but follow all the rules and you will do good. Congrats on your decision to have this surgery

cannot get under 258!

When you hit a stall it is time to look at your diet and exercise routine Are you getting in 60-70 g of protein? are you drinking 64 oz of water ? are you exercising 3-5 times a week? For the first 6-9 months you should only be consuming around 800 calories a day. And, carbohydrates less than 40 a day. This is what my Doc told me when I stalled. My calories were too high and so were my carbohydrates. Good luck Stay strong -

Do you regret?
mariamitani replied to LonghornNiner's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It can get a bit depressing sometimes. I usualy looked back on all the struggles I have had all my life with weight-loss and remember it will get better day by day. Your energy may be zapped due to not enough fluid intake . try to spice things up drink gatorade, powerade, iced tea, crystal light you have to find something you like to drink. My favorite for a while was powerade then i got sick of it and now am drinking lipton iced tea. Hang in there you are strong and this difficult time will pass. Make sure you are getting in enough iron and add b12 for energy. I have a iron pill that combines vit c iron b12 in one. When I don't take it I feel like a zombie! It will be worth it in the end try to stay positive you can do this -

pain on stomach when I yell , touch , push?
mariamitani posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I get pain on my stomach when I push ,lift , yell(at the kids lol) or touch my stomach. The pain is not inside my stomach. It feels like stabbing pain. I'm 3 months out could it be a hernia? I'm gonna contact my surgeon but wanted to see if anyone had this. thanks for the feed back
