mariamitani replied to Ima Loser's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

If you know you want more kids( obviously you all do) Have your little angels and think about fixing your body later. You have lost the weight and look great so just use shapewear till its time to get the Tummy tuck or whatever procedure you need. I have 3 girls and have decided to put off Breast lift and augmentation, tummy tuck surgery till later on because I am not sure if i'm done having kids. I want a boy. I know 3 girls is allot and they need allot of my attention and help so 80% of me says thats it you shouldnt have any more. then there's a part of me 20% says I want a little boy twin boys actually. I'm insane I know! I wish I had more help around me then I wouldn't think twice and would have twin boys:) PGD

mariamitani replied to amytug's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
My sister had a tummy tuck and needed help for about 2 weeks. The first week is very difficult ,you can't stand straight up and the meds make you drowsey. I would say 3 weeks to be safe good luck -
Sooooo slow ~ What's wrong with me?
mariamitani replied to Thood's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
How many calories do you eat a day? I read that until you get to goal calories should be 600-800 a day. Protein 70 , 64 ounces water. You did start at a low BMI, the closer to your ideal weight the harder it gets to lose. Exercise will make you loose faster. Hang in there it will come off eventually. -
Worried I'm eating too much : (
mariamitani replied to lahoffman's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Week 1 post op is clear liquids, week 2,3 full liquids, week 4 soft foods. I agree with others its too early to eat fruit. When you start to eat more dense foods you will feel the restriction. -

Sugar free angel food cake and sugar free pudding. I cut the cake into 2 pieces and fill it with the pudding. Like an oreo. You can microwave it too if you want it warm

OH and keeing track of fluids takes my mind off the bad foods Good Luck

Start over tommorow morning Protein first, then veggies you won't be able to cheat remember why you had the surgery, and how awesome you will look a month from now Stay strong! IF you need to eat something and can't take it anymore there's chesters corn puffs 60 of them is like 160 calories. Sugar free angel cake and sugar free pudding is another. They are not very high in calories and they satisfy the crazy monster that tries to demolish my hard work. Myfitnesspal.com really helps too. I track my protein and calories. It holds me accountable for what I put in my mouth. Keep your eyes on the prize

4 weeks post-op and have been stalled for 2 weeks! HELP!
mariamitani replied to gettinsleeved's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
If you have a stall you are either eating to many calories/carbs and or not exercising enough. At least that's what my surgeon says. I suggest to make sure your getting in the required liquid intake 64 ounces. Get enough protein in 50-70 grams. Take a laxative , Maybe your clogged up. Most importantly keep your calorie intake between 600-800 calories for the first 6-9 months. When I ate more than 800 I stalled. Once you get to goal weight you can eat more than that. Hope this helps -

body changes This is not me
mariamitani replied to brebee's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I have similar thoughts. Taking pictures and posting them and looking at them really helps. I'm very happy with my weight-loss and am adjusting to the fact that I'm a skinny person now I surprise my self every time I look in the mirror It reminds me that I'm thin now. I have been overweight since I turned 11 years old. So, for about 14 years I was fat. I was called fat, made fun of, and struggled to loose weight. It is in my head but when I look in the mirror I see that it has changed. It takes time but we will get it Stay positive -

How much more do you need to lose? -
My Doctor put me on a strong anti acid 2x a day for the first ten days post op.The acid can really irritate your sleeve while it heals. This really helped after that I used tums and zantac 150. I'm currently on omaprazole 20mg daily and I'm 4 and half months out. Congratulations on getting sleeved ,it must have been very frustrating to go through all this but you did it

I have wide feet and measure at size 9 womens . Being over weight I usually buy size 11 shoes so they fit. I'm 80 pounds down and have about 55 to get to goal 153 lbs. I'm 5'7''. I'm worried about buying shoes then dropping therest of the weight and then my shoes get too loose on my feet! What did you do? when is it safe to buy shoes? 10 pounds over goal, 20 pounds over goal?
