ASKSARAH - Sleeve got a reaction from dgoerlitz in Down 15 lbs in 15 days.. Is yhat good?
a pound a day is REALLY good. Don't put too much thought into this. Just focus on meeting your nutritional and Fluid goals. It will come off as it needs to.
Great Job. Remember to take photos and measurements weekly to document your progress. It really helps.

ASKSARAH - Sleeve got a reaction from dgoerlitz in How does everyone get enough protein in w/o shakes?
I weaned off shakes as fast as I could. I do not like the chemicals.
EVERYTHING I eat has Protein in it. Period. Thats how you get it in.
eggs, cheese, Cottage cheese
Sausage, bacon, Breakfast meats,
lunch meat of all kind. Currently my fav is butter basted turkey from Fresh and easy. Roast beef and cheese.
Soups (easy to add any kind of Protein to that)
Yogurts
Peanut Butter
Nuts of all kind especially Almonds
Fish fish and more fish
Legumes

ASKSARAH - Sleeve got a reaction from ProudGrammy in Can you still eat in restaurants?
Well everyone has covered the basics. I eat out 1 time a week. Its breakfast on Sundays.. My husband gets this massive omelet with ham and bacon and I get the corner 1/16 and I eat that with some, about 10, of their specialty potatoes. Covers me all day.
My husband and I eat way better now when we go out and he is so supportive of me and he has lost about 50 lbs himself just by eating what I eat( just a regular portion).
We went out to Maggianos ( Italian) for dinner this past weekend for our anniversary and we shared the parm crusted talapia. So great. He got a side of spaghetti and I had a bite. Pasta is no fun anymore for me.
So the point is, as I am sure you get it now, The point of this surgery is to live a normal life. Eating out is a normal part of life for most people. Enjoy your world.

ASKSARAH - Sleeve got a reaction from Momonanomo in Am I a wimp?
You probably won't feel much restriction. Being on liquids opens your P valve more often emptying it a lot. You will feel more restriction the more solid your food will get in week 3.
Your "weird" incision is probably above your belly button and that's a different type of wound. Its where they pulled your stomach out of your body. It will be sore for about 2 weeks. You should be feeling better and more better in about a week.
You sound normal but consult your doc if you are having issues.

ASKSARAH - Sleeve got a reaction from KhadijahRose in No Weight Loss in 2 Months!
Awesome! Good job on not freaking out.
So many people do and it solves nothing. I hope that you are taking measurements.
I know I see a lot of changes in week to week photos and measurements as opposed to scale changes.
Also its not a stall unless you are not losing weight or inches in over 30 days. So it sounds like you are chugging right along.
Keep up the good attitude.!

ASKSARAH - Sleeve got a reaction from byebyebelly in Cottage cheese....?
Yeah I didn't give it any extra thought. That chew thing is to make you slow down and chew your food to make it easier to digest because as someone put it your stomach does not have teeth!
-
ASKSARAH - Sleeve got a reaction from smjuroska in Do you ever feel "normal" again?
I am 7 months out and yes you do eventually feel normal.
I wasn't really obsessed with all the things I "had" to do. I just listened to my body and started to live my new life.
Its pretty easy. The surgery is pretty easy, the lifestyle is pretty easy and you just learn to behave thin. I do not drink Water because my body will not tolerate it, so I drink other fluids, I just kinda look back over my day and say ok I have had tea, coffee, 3 Gatorade's and OJ, and I know I need to add one more drink. I never get obsessed. When I eat I mentally know what has Protein and what does not and try to eat things that have Protein over things that have none. As long as I am constantly eating I am good and continue to lose weight. I know almonds and cheese and yogurts are my go to foods, so don;t obsess about getting 60 g of protein. If you like to obsess then go for it but I know if I am eating and drinking right I am happy.

ASKSARAH - Sleeve got a reaction from Tink22-sleeve in Breaking the stall
Thats great Tink!.
I always thiough that protien shakes are bad for you. They are ok to get you through but by week 8 you should be getting all your protien organically. I agree 100% with that. I think I have said that in the Chat room.
The no dairy thing is new. I love cheese and my favorite place to get cheese is from trader joes. They always have new ones.
I am glad you are feeling hopeful. That is a big part of success is your attitude!

I think straws are stuck up and conformist. They either come in that formal sleeve that covers them from head to toe or they come in a box... everyone looking alike.

ASKSARAH - Sleeve got a reaction from TonyaA in There is a toddler in my pants!
So I have these pants I thought still fit and since I have a sun burn I knew they would be a little loose and comfy,
So I put them on they were so big that my 40 Lb 4 year old climbed in with me and we took a photo. I got him in further when I held him closer.
But a friend on here told me you guys would like this. A fun visual!

ASKSARAH - Sleeve got a reaction from TwinsMama in gall bladder issues?
No need to be worried. Super Normal to have gallbladder issues with hormones changing and dramatic weight loss.
You will probably have another similar lap surgery to have it removed.
DO NOT EAT FAT!!!!

ASKSARAH - Sleeve got a reaction from lizv123 in Glucose Tolerance Test
Good Warning and yes it sucks. Important? YES!
Ask for the jelly Beans next time. Much easier to digest than the liquid. If we open our mouth and let people know what is going on with us there is usually a way around things.

ASKSARAH - Sleeve reacted to BKLYNgal87 in Weight gain in the hospital?
While in the hospital you no doubt noticed you were hooked up to IV's the whole time, right? Constantly pumping fluids, plus edema, plus surgical "trauma" to the body all cause a little Water weight gain. It will all go away in the first week or two. Not to worry.
-
ASKSARAH - Sleeve got a reaction from mytime2shine in Can a Period make you stall?
Nope, Because a stall is a month with no movement of inches or Lbs,
