Do you ever feel "normal" again?
ASKSARAH - Sleeve replied to coopspa's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 7 months out and yes you do eventually feel normal. I wasn't really obsessed with all the things I "had" to do. I just listened to my body and started to live my new life. Its pretty easy. The surgery is pretty easy, the lifestyle is pretty easy and you just learn to behave thin. I do not drink Water because my body will not tolerate it, so I drink other fluids, I just kinda look back over my day and say ok I have had tea, coffee, 3 Gatorade's and OJ, and I know I need to add one more drink. I never get obsessed. When I eat I mentally know what has Protein and what does not and try to eat things that have protein over things that have none. As long as I am constantly eating I am good and continue to lose weight. I know almonds and cheese and yogurts are my go to foods, so don;t obsess about getting 60 g of protein. If you like to obsess then go for it but I know if I am eating and drinking right I am happy. -

A year out and feeling frustrated
ASKSARAH - Sleeve replied to Mimismom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I kinda stopped losing a bit and I am 7 months out. I went back to liquids. I did clears for a week and full liquids and still in that phase. I woke up 5 lbs lighter. Stop eating and start over again. I do not understand the pouch test because I do not have a pouch I have a smaller stomach. So start over and tell me how it goes. Sarah -
I am not mean, I am blunt, which means I will tell you the clear difference between a bit naive and incredibly f$@^ing stupid

Breaking the stall
ASKSARAH - Sleeve replied to Tink22-sleeve's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thats great Tink!. I always thiough that protien shakes are bad for you. They are ok to get you through but by week 8 you should be getting all your protien organically. I agree 100% with that. I think I have said that in the Chat room. The no dairy thing is new. I love cheese and my favorite place to get cheese is from trader joes. They always have new ones. I am glad you are feeling hopeful. That is a big part of success is your attitude! -

gall bladder issues?
ASKSARAH - Sleeve replied to tryin2bthin's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
No need to be worried. Super Normal to have gallbladder issues with hormones changing and dramatic weight loss. You will probably have another similar lap surgery to have it removed. DO NOT EAT FAT!!!! -
Glucose Tolerance Test
ASKSARAH - Sleeve replied to lizv123's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Good Warning and yes it sucks. Important? YES! Ask for the jelly Beans next time. Much easier to digest than the liquid. If we open our mouth and let people know what is going on with us there is usually a way around things. -

ASKSARAH - Sleeve posted a topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
So I have these pants I thought still fit and since I have a sun burn I knew they would be a little loose and comfy, So I put them on they were so big that my 40 Lb 4 year old climbed in with me and we took a photo. I got him in further when I held him closer. But a friend on here told me you guys would like this. A fun visual! -
