Will I ever eat a hot meal again?
ASKSARAH - Sleeve replied to SueJH's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You will. Don;t Worry! One thing I did was heated up my smaller dishes before I added my food to it. Instead of using a dinner plate I use a dessert plate warm it in the oven or microwave. Makes it last a little longer. -
Halfway to goal

Wow you look amazing!. Good for you. I remember hitting 1/2 way a couple of weeks ago. That's a fantastic feeling. -
All the places I called in the Vegas Area were 20K +, So I headed down to Mexico and saved $15K. I only paid $5500 and had the most amazing experience ever.

Does protein actually HELP you lose weight?
ASKSARAH - Sleeve replied to cmathews77's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I weened myself off the shakes as well. I refused to be a slave to chemicals. EVERYTHING I eat has Protein. The point of protein is its the cornerstone of what we are made up of and we have to have it to keep building our bodies the correct way. It's filling and keeps you satisfied longer. It does not deplete your body of nutrients and minerals, it gives back to your body. Good for you to let go of the shakes. Make sure that you get enough protein. Eat that egg in the morning with some Breakfast meat, eat some lunch meat and cheese for lunch, some greek yogurt or string cheese for Snacks and eat some fish or shrimp or whatever you like for dinner. Its super easy to get in everything you need if you are continually eating. I eat by the clock. If I am not eating by the clock I stop losing. Make sure you have something high in protein in your mouth every 2-3 hours. and drink your fluids in between. Good luck, Its a full time job taking care of you! -
I fast this way once a week, I shock my body all the time to keep the losses going. I have never had a lull in weight loss cause of it. I high carb high Protein 3-4 days, then low -0 carb really high protein 3-4 days and 1 day fast 12 hours and do it all over again. You will be just fine. Just eat REALLY HIGH protein meals at sunset.

No pre op diet?!?!?
ASKSARAH - Sleeve replied to abranewme's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I didn't have one and thank god your doctor didn't make you do one either. It lowers your ability to heal, it lowers your immunity and stresses your overall body. Good for your doctor and understanding the human body. -
No coffee?Whaaaa?
ASKSARAH - Sleeve replied to marfar7's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I drink coffee as a treat. It's my fun thing to do. Drink it as soon as you feel comfortable with it. I know alot of people have issues with foods they loved before and after surgery they don't like it. Coffee is not a dire need for me. Caffeine can dehydrate you so you need to be VERY aware of that. You had better get in all your fluids and any thing with caffeine is not a "real fluid" Try to include Protein in it. I look at life this way, Nothing is off limits, I put limits on everything. Good luck -
Mine started about 3.5 to 4 months out and July 1 will be 5 months and it has started slowing down this week. I have yet to see a post where it says I am bald. Let your body do its thing and yes it will slow down and stop being so dramatic soon.

ASKSARAH - Sleeve replied to minnie78's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
ITs not stalls. No way can you be stalling out. A Stall is no lbs or inches lost in 30 days. Relax and let your body do its thing with out drugs. -
on Dr. Oz today (Tuesday)
ASKSARAH - Sleeve replied to NtvTxn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It is absolutely not a conspiracy theory its REALITY> If they don;t hook you with salt, fat and sugar they can't sell that product to the masses, I know when I eat a Cheetos I can;t stop at one or a cookie. and when they say low fat or sugar free I get even more worried about what is in there. -

Any issues with using US $ in TJ?
ASKSARAH - Sleeve replied to tesser85's topic in Mexico & Self-Pay Weight Loss Surgery
Make sure you do not flaunt your money. They tried charging me way over what I thought was reasonable for souvenirs cause they saw the cash I had in my wallet by accident and then my credit cards didn't work, so they let me have what I wanted for the cash in my wallet. Also I had 100 stolen in the hospital so hide your funds well or don't take more than $50 with you. I was clueless and didn't hide my funds. It was just in my wallet. -
SICK & TIRED of eating pig slop.
ASKSARAH - Sleeve replied to jmarie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
DO don;t eat mushy slop. Eat real foods that are soft. Make Ricotta cheese and sauce with mozzarella on top. Microwave for a minute or put in oven and there ya go. dinner. -

Is it possible I have already stretched my new sleeve?
ASKSARAH - Sleeve replied to fultont's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A

Is anyone else having a hard time with compliments...?
ASKSARAH - Sleeve replied to Ima Loser's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have a hard time accepting them from certain people. From People that were positive and joyful from the start I can take tose ones no problems. Its like we are celebrating every size difference and everything positive. But from Random people or people I don;t know very well, I do say aww thanks and smile and then talk about them to get it off me. Your right you need to smile, beam and say thank you its been a struggle but I feel great and that answers alot of questions. -
the only thing you can do is schedule an arm lift with a great plastic surgeon. Sorry.

Capacity and healing
ASKSARAH - Sleeve replied to Alyjourneys's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
No your not misunderstanding. People say things like I feel like I am eating all day when they are new , its because they are! But they are drinking liquids all day and don;t realize how little it actually is. But yeah they say they feel like they can eat more because they are drinking all day. -
are you taking enough B-12? Go have a metabolic panel done. That should tell you alot about all these questions you are posting.
