I had my surgery on 9/24. I have had a lot of problems with dehydration since I had the surgery. I wound up in the emergency room twice. I have stayed out for over a month now, but I am still not getting in enough water. Just recently I have noticed that getting in water is becoming even more difficult as my stomach feels like it is filling up with air. I am burping and it gets worse when I drink. This is making drinking very uncomfortable. Did anyone else have this problem and how did you solve it? I really don't want to wind up in the hospital again!

Can't Keep Vitamins Down...
micki1203 replied to rdawson's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I have been having the same problem and I have been worried about vitamin deficiency. I just bought centrum chewable flavor burst and i am hoping that my stomach tolerates it. *Fingers crossed* -
I have the same problem. I can't even get in one scrambled egg. I my doctor told me that was normal. I eat so little of my tuna fish and meatball. I was worried about my protein intake so I drink milk in the morning and I have 40z of a protein shake at night.

I have had the same problem. I have a hard time getting in all my water during the day. No matter how much I sip. I am literally on the edge. I hope that this gets better. In the beginning I wound up in the hospital twice with severe dehydration and I would not like a repeat. My students even remind me to drink while I'm teaching! I don't think they liked the subs very much while I was out.

I was mourning foods for a good month and a half. I am finally at the point where I don't feel miserable after watching a pizza commercial. I still miss it, but I know that I will get sick and I did this for a reason and I am not going to ruin all that I am doing. Yes, I am sick of the same things and I am not progressing as fast as others, but slow and steady wins the race!

Hi. I am new to this community and I thought that here was the perfect place to introduce myself. I am 31, almost 32 year old, single gal. I had the my sleeve done on September 24th of this year. It has been a bit of a struggle. I wound up in and out of the hospital for the first two weeks, but as for now I am doing well. I am a high school teacher, Social Studies, and I am also working on my second master's in School Counseling. I love music and could not live a day without it. I have struggled with my weight since I was a child, but it was not until my dad had quintuple heart bypass surgery that I realized I needed to do something or I would be him at a younger age. There are definitely foods that I am missing (chinese food and pizza), but I know it will be worth it in the end.
