Hi, I'm not sleeved yet. I'm learning alot from the folks on this site. They are truly wonderful people. I'm gonna have my surgery in TJ Mexico. I haven't booked a date yet, but I will be there between the 18th and the 22nd.

i also have had previous surgeries. Will they cut into existing scars or will the create new ones?

I haven't even booked a date yet, but decided to have the surgery in Feb 2013. So my food funeral has already begun. Hey, I have to enjoy the foods Iove because next year< i won't be able too. I sometimes ask myself, what are you doing, you're gonna put on more weight? Then i'll feel bad. SO don't worry you are not alone in this.

I hope that your therapist can help you. I haven't been sleeved yet, but i know that once the weight come off I will be battling the same thins that you are. Especially the missing the weight ,the old you and not being as strong. I think about that all the time, but when I look in the mirror i don't like what I see. i see how much weight I put on I'm at the highest weight I've ever been 273 and i'm 40 years old. I believe WLS will give me some of my confidence back. So when you're feeling depressed, just look in the mirror. See how beautiful you are. GO buy new clothes, get your hair and nails done and hit the town. have fun. I plan to.

I am so happy for you. I'm excited and my surgery is months away. i was a little nervous when I first decided to have the surgery, but reading all the positive stories on this site has put my nerves to rest. Hope to hear from you soon. And again Congrats!

whoop! whoop! Just turned 40 this sept. I haven't been sleeved yet but plan to in Feb 2013. People are amazed when I tell them my age, and a mother of 6. 3 of which are adults and out of the nest. I am also divorced and engaged, plan to get married next year and would love to get hitched a slimmer me.
