    Sleeve to Bypass Revision

Hi Ashley - I had the sleeve in Dec 2012, had vomiting, acid reflux and gerd. I threw up vitamins and couldn't each much but crackers and stuff like that, diet was shot. I lost down to 186 and gained it all back. All of these issues have caused damage to my lower esophageal sphincter (it no longer closes) and my stomach lining as well as a hernia. I had tests run in August, September and October and I had Sleeve to bypass revision on Dec 3rd. I feel so much better!!! I am holding down food, vitamins and protein properly. I'm able to lay flat to sleep for the first time since my sleeve, I was at the point where I did not care if I lost another pound as long as the reflux/gerd and pain would go away...and it mostly has! 30 lbs down again to boot! My surgeon warned that I may lose slow or not at all, but I am still early into this new tummy. Hope you get a resolution and some relief.

    some self discoveries

This is such an interesting topic. My family would say I'm a worrywart over nothing and everything. Big or small. Anxiety has always had a big role in my life and your post here just made me think about it in a 'hmm maybe I stuffed THAT down with food too' thought (among other things o.0) What helps you cope? I'm learning that even though I need family, friendship, support etc that I also require a good deal of solidarity and time to myself (for calm and reflection) I guess I never thought of it as something like a fear that I need to face head on and accept as part of 'me' and my life... Thanks for sharing either way. -Cassie Sent from my iPhone using VST

  9. Patience!!!! You can DO THIS!!! Take a step back and think about all you have gone through to get to this point! You are so close and have made so many life changes already to back out. I found that the pre op was very hard, harder than post op. I'm 8 months out and wouldn't change it for the world. Good luck and stay focused you are almost on the losers bench!!! Fitness Plan ideas

I am just over 8 months out. Normally exercise 4-5 days a week on the treadmill or recumbent bike. Treadmill = 3.5 mph for 60 mins Recumbent bike ~10mph for 60 mins. I also park out far at work stores etc, walk on my breaks at work and clean at home, pool w family on weekends and generally more active... Prior to this process I was a couch potato and no exercise. It was a chore to walk 1mph on treadmill for 20 mins so I feel like I've come a long way... I don't ever think ill be a runner/athlete like Fiddle or Butter but I do what I can. Now that I'm officially done with school I'd like to add weights? Maybe with a trainer? I need to price that out though... I've never been a 'strong' person so that is my next goal...to do strength training! Sent from my iPhone using VST

    All of my December sleevers...

Sigh hair...it started falling, stopped, and just in last week or so I noticed more coming out...eeeek. My update: 8 months out. surgery 12/5 starting weight 242 now 182 and I bounce 2-3 lbs. I've been doing this since mid APRIL. Talk about discouraging. I went from a tight 16 since April to a 14 and sometimes size 12's. I KNOW my body has been changing I see it in the pictures, but I desperately want the scale to love down this last ~40lbs. I feel like it's hard when day after day, week after week and now month after month my weight has stalled here. I'm only 5'3" and so I need to be at 140ish to be at the higher end of normal (I think). I feel better. I am WAY more active. I'm more involved in life, but frustrated with this dang scale not moving. Maybe I'm destined at loosing only 60 lbs....*shrugs* Sent from my iPhone using VST

When Can I Start Yoga Post-Op?

I would say if you feel comfortable and its not too strenuous, or pulls any muscles or feels weird, go for it. I was cleared to walk/stretch right away, and most everything else at I think 8 weeks?
