    True Story "Read with Caution"

Kapoor, Sending many virtual hugz your way!!! So sorry you had such a tough journey so far, but thank you very much for sharing the 'real' side of things. Many prayers and stuff for you to have the best recovery possible from here on out! And my Protein and fluids counted double aka if I mixed Syntrax 23 gm protein in 8-12oz of Fluid that 8-12oz also counted towards my fluid intake, so maybe that will help. Keep us posted and let us all know how you are doing...

    3 Months-Pics!

Hi shuhn, Oh how I hope to follow in your footsteps. I am bottom heavy. Starting weight 239, day of surgery 225 today 219. I am also 5'2" and a shortie! I'm only 4 days post op and struggling today to get fluids and Protein in and you are definitely my inspiration of the day! I feel like I've had a fairly easy recovery compared to some on here! Thanks for sharing your pics. This gives me great hope... Best of luck on your continued success!

    Today Is My Day! Ready...

Im sleeved!!!! Thank you all for the kind words and well wishes. Just got back from my 4th 'lap' around the hall. Had quite a bit of gas pain but its getting better. Had some nausea so the gave me the behind the ear patch as well as something in my IV. I've slept almost all day and doc said if all looks good may be able to go home tomorrow. Hope all my other sleevers had a safe surgery.

    Thinking..

Veryyy well said, I am pre-op and have been having anxiety (not as much doubt) but I think I will also take this advice! I think its natural to have anxiety about this. I am having the surgery on Wed, and have had these same thoughts and mostly at night when all my thoughts can creep in on me because every other outside interaction is now quiet (in the middle of the night)...This may be your internal fears of the unknown which is basically what it is for me. Sure there are chances for complications, however I look at it as this is my chance for a new lease on life...I have to live for myself and for my child and I feel that if I DON'T get this done, I will be gone way before my time. I wish you peace in your decision as only you can decide, but just know that it is natural to have that fear and anxiety...but sometimes the fear of the unknown holds us back from turning a new page and starting the new chapter of our lives! All the best! -Cassie

    So, Do You Have Stairs?

Awesome, slow is my plan also. Hmmm, maybe I can talk my parents into getting me a mini-fridge for the loft! LOL

    So, Do You Have Stairs?

Thanks for the info. All the bedrooms are up, and everything else down. May end up just sleeping on the couch and using the powder room for a few days... I'm a single parent, so not going up and/or down is not an option, but I do think I'll spend a lot downstairs Thanks for the info! Definitely appreciated. No hubs here to speak of! LOL But I am a mom so I'll have to do a bit of things for myself, including the stairs...I appreciate the feedback and hope to be going up and down shortly after I get home.

Will defintely keep you updated. Thank goodness I quit smoking when I was pregnant and didn't pick it back up, I know that is such a struggle for many people (including some of my siblings). I think that we will be just fine, as long as I just get through the next few days. When is your surgery? Or have they told you yet since your approval?

    Ready Or Not

Congrats on being on the other side! Glad you had a great surgery and smooth recovery so far!

    Well Hello Anxiety....

Just to update - Doc said I can continue taking my meds, INCLUDING the morning of surgery and that they will give me something at the hospital as well. The meds do not affect anesthesia Thank goodness, and wooo for functioning without anxiety (or at least not as much) haha
