  3. I use the flinstone complete chewables for my multi, and the Bariatric Advantage calcium chews (chocolate is my fave). Nausea is still common at this stage, I still get it too sometimes when I drink too fast, or with vitamins etc...I've heard that part gets better with time...

    Pho?

    Totally agree with you here!!!!

    Pho?

I never pureed it in a blender, just chewed the heck out of it, and/or made it in a crock pot type meal so that the meat was soft. I have not yet tried regularly cooked meats (other than chicken/fish).

Do I really need to go to the ER...?

Try pedialyte, Gatorade, Powerade or something like that tonight with electrolytes to help u feel a bit better and then definitely get into your pcp in the morning. They may refer you to er or urgent care for IV fluids. You have to take care of yourself for you and your baby!!! Sip sip sip...decaf tea w Splenda. You can do this... I would also be worried about the oozing, that's not normal. Good luck and hope you are feeling better ASAP -Cassie Sent from my iPhone using VST

  10. I caught a cold/sinus infection 3.5 weeks out. I was able to take tylenol cold/tylenol allergy caplets (spelling?). They went down fine, just drank it with a bit of water/fluids. Doc said as long as its about m&m size it should be fine.

    complications at 6 months out?

This to me sounds like gallbladder issues. Talk to your surgeon about an abdominal ultrasound (surprised they didn't do it in er). Upper chest area pain is common with gallbladder issues. I thought I was having a heart attack, turned out to be gallbladder. Was worse than having my son! Wishing you pain free and some answers! Sent from my iPhone using VST

    Venting!

My heart goes out to you.. First of all, congrats for sticking to the program and walking/working out on the treadmill to get healthy before your surgery. Second, as a person who has previously been in an emotionally abusive relationship, keep your head up. You are doing this for YOU. Do not let his words get to you, and stay strong. Keep walking a little bit at a time, and things will get better, do your research and decide what is the best option for YOU to get fit and healthy (surgery or not). If you fall off the wagon at a meal, or for a day, know that that happens sometimes, and its OKAY. Dust yourself off, and pick up at the next meal to make a better decision and choice. Try parking a little further out from work/store/school etc. Try walking around the yard/block/neighborhood. Start small, and work your way up... Before surgery I could only walk about .5 miles at like .7mph on the treadmill, I started a few months before surgery making SMALL changes like parking further out, walking around the parking lot at work on my break or lunch, and just before surgery I was up to about 2.5mph and 1.5-2miles a day. Take it step by step, and bite by bite. You WILL succeed at this if you can just take it one moment at a time. This forum is a great source of support and I wish you the best in your journey, and remember that you are doing this for YOU!!! <hugs>

    Hi!

Hi Erin, I am recently sleeved (Dec 5), and like you considered the same 2 surgeries as you. I did not want to have the band, as it would not solve the hunger issues or help with the binge eating for me. Also, I was not down with having to go and get the band filled/let out etc for the rest of my life, and possible slipping of the band after time, and scar tissue. I knew the risks of having up to 85% of my stomach out, and decided that even through the risks. I cannot make the decision for you, only suggest that you definitely do your research on each one, and maybe make a list of the pro's and cons of each, and compare and talk with your family, and your doctors about each, and your own personal struggles. Wishing you the best in your decision. This forum has been a great source of information and support for me. If you have any questions, you can send me a message and I'll be happy to answer! Best of luck. -Cassie
