Negative Boyfriend
simplejaxgirl replied to Stranger 123's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I agree with the poster above. This lifestyle is already tough, and with such negativity, maybe time to reevaluate the relationship? Hope you find peace with your decision either way! -Cassie Sent from my iPhone using VST -
Disability?
simplejaxgirl replied to SuchaPrettyFaceBUT's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had to use a week of vacation time (or sick time) and then my company's short term disability kicked in. I took quite a bit of time (needed the adjustment period). However, I have a desk job and COULD have went back sooner if I chose. I would say do whatever works best for you. Small company is a tough call though... Good luck in your journey! -
Thats awesome! Congrats to you!

Any experiences with finding a new surgeon after starting the process with someone else?

You should be able to sign a records release form and have the records transferred to the new doctor. They may charge a fee depending on their office policies. -

I drank de-caf w/ splenda and fat free sugar free creamer pre-op. I waited till about 2 months post op, and was cleared for all foods, and my doc ok'd regular coffee. I drink a 16 oz cup w/ splenda almost every day.

Are you still on Clear Liquids? Or full liquids? When I was in that stage it was kind of like liquid in/liquid out. Not much actual food going in so none really to come out.,. Are you uncomfortable? Do you feel like you need to go? If not I wouldn't worry about it, if you do, try milk of magnesia or stool softner to help ya out... Sent from my iPhone using VST -
So I'm just over 3 months out and the last 2-3 weeks a couple things have been going on, when I stand up, if I move immediately, I feel like I'm going to fall over, it feels like my body is off balance..this has happened 2-3 times (that I noticed). Today I was driving home and got very dizzy, lightheaded and felt like confusion like I needed to pull over for a min...I've tried looking up some symptoms but a little unsure. Going to try to get in to see my primary this week...from am to that point I had about 40 oz of fluids.. I was thinking a. Blood pressure (it was a little high/borderline before surgery but I was never on meds) now I'm wondering if its too low...b. low blood sugar? C. Dehydration? D. Vitamins? I had a complication free surgery and journey so far with the exception of the above, can anyone give thoughts/advice, anyone experienced any of these type symptoms? Thanks for listening -Cassie Sent from my iPhone using VST

is it gonna work?
simplejaxgirl replied to Mastiff_mama's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think in the beginning we all have this fear. I too had it, the scale will move, just follow the guidelines set by your doctor and nutritionist and you will be just fine. I have to remind myself all the time of this! Today as I was updating my stats, I realized that I am basically halfway to my goal at 3 months out (Goal is just shy of 100 lbs total loss). Even I didn't realize it! I have felt like I've been loosing really slow, but honestly thats probably right on target for me and my body. Good luck, keep your head up everything will be just fine!
