my surgery was oct 23 of last year almost one year out. still do not regret one minute. I have stalled for the last two months though. but I am trying to stay positive. this is the longest stall I have had thus far.

did you do anything to break the stall?

i am not doing so good on eating i constantly crave grapefruit...not sure why but I do not want anything but that. my husband is fussing at me to eat some form of protein but the thought of eating is just not appealing to me at all. my surgery was Oct 23 down 46 pds

I missed food for the first 3 weeks. I am 11 weeks out and i have to force myself to eat. I am 42 and been overweight since i was 6. Can you image how wonderful it feels not to live my life constantly wanting to eat...it is truly amazing! I have lost 46 pds can't wait to see where i am at the end of 2013. It was the right decision for me. Good luck!

I can eat only 2 ounces at a time and fell stuffed if it is meat. I can only handle chicken, beef makes me nauseous. I can eat 3 oz of apple sauce though and not feel stuffed but satisfied.

hi, I am 7 weeks out tomorrow. I am in a stall too and keep telling myself well this it; your not gonna loose anymore....uugghhh I hate that. I do not crave sweets anymore because they make me ssoo sick, I can't eat fried foods anymore but I stil want to. They make me really sick too. I am kinda down today not feeling so great about anything really. This is the first time since my surgery seven weeks ago that I just feel kinda depressed about everything. It is weird, nothing specific just kinda generalized depression and short tempered. Oh well this to shall pass right!! Hope all goes well for you keep your chin up!!

not much, for some reason for the past two weeks i have been nauseated,

It is the best thing I have ever done for myself,,, did not care what other people was saying ...even my doctor tried to talk me out of it,.. he wanted me to try pills first is that not crazy...so glad I had this surgery.

I have hypothyroid..had my surgery 10-23.. I have lost 23 pounds so far. My TSH level was never normal so I am anxious to see what it will be like when i go for my blood work at the end of December.

i ate spam and egg salad too.

My tastebuds and sense of smell is very sensitive now too. Just tonight my husband had some egg drop soup and I took one teaspoon and almost threw up. The egg taste was so strong. I use to love egg drop soup. Among other things I can't stand sweet drinks not even if it is artificial sweetner in them. Drinking plain water is getting old. But its better then the alternative wich is nothing..stay strong. We will survive.

so I am a nurse and I do not know how to eat slow...I am post surgery week 3 and find myself inhailing my food in like 10 minutes as my past habits are hard to break...It only bothers my stomach about five minutes then it passes. I measure my food so I will not eat to much so that is not a problem. My question is has anyone had this problem and did it cause any long term problems????

I had a headache for a week, no caffeine and no carbs will do that to you. But this too shall pass....

That is what I am scared of stretching my sleeve out because I eat to fast. Thanks

Thanks!! It seems like I feel like I need to be doing other things instead of stretching out a meal..occupational hazard

Sorry to hear that.(about your husband) I married a man who loved me fat and all I am scared he will leave me. I hope you can figure it all out. If he treats you bad don't give it a second thought...leave. I had a 6 year nightmare before I married my husband.. When I left the guy he accused me of using him to get through college. That was not true. I just couldn't take his verbal abuse anymore. But that did not stop him from telling everyone what a horrible person I was for using him to get myself through college.

I am having a hard time too. I stay hungry most of the time, I dont have a scale but I do not feel like I am loosing weight either..I was sleeved Oct 23.

I am so looking foward to the day I can do this...I am happy for you!!!!! I love to fly but I don't because of the looks I get. You know the one "oh god don't let her be sitting next to me" can't wait.........till I get there too...

I had my sleeve done Oct 23rd too. Congradulations!! I am having the same problem. I do the same thing you do. I found these little plates that you cook eggs in the microwave. It has 3 sections each one is 1.5 oz so I feel two of those up and do not eat any more then that. So far that works. I had to do something because I thought I was stretching my tummy.

My surgery was Oct 23 down 17 pounds.

I am sorry you got hit by sandy...I hope things will return to normal for you real soon. i live in florida and hurricane season always keeps me glued to the weather channel...keep in touch we can be good support for each other since we were sleeved close together...

my surgery was oct 23rd..i lost 17 pds in 9 days. weighed monday two weeks post op and the scale was the same as day 9. how are you doing?

Ok so I am only two weeks post op with my VSG..I am concerned becasue I can eat up to 3 oz of food with no problems whatsoever. Did I stretch my stomach? Every one else on here seems to can only eat around 1 oz of food. I am freakin out...I do not have a scale so I haven't weighed in a week but I feel like I have not lost any weight. Any comments are appreciated thanks.

ok i went and weighed no loss the second week after surgery...yikes any helpful comments?
