Hi Everyone! I havent been to this site in two years. I was already to have my gastric sleeve on February 20, 2012 and then decided to have my colonoscopy before my referral from my PCP expired. Much to my surprise, Stage 3B colon cancer was discovered so no weight loss surgery for me. Its now coming up on two years after colon surgery and chemotherapy and I have been free and clear. My two year colonscopy will be in April of this year and if we are clear with that I will be approved to pursue my weight loss journey once again. The doctor wanted to be sure that I was losing weight from the sleeve surgery and not from cancer. I have just now been a lurker again reading everyone's success stories and getting excited about starting my own journey all over again. Through my cancer journey, I did manage to lose some weight but not enough to give up on weight loss surgery. Looking forward to inspiration from all of you and hoping to find some motivation as well.
Good luck to all as we make this trip together and achieve success together.
