Well I'm 6 days out and the sharp painful gas through my shoulders is gone. Thank god! I can finally take a deep breath. I still haven't had a BM yet. I see my dr on April 4th so I'm gonna ask him. I think you might have some inner stitches. I'm 6 days out and my right side pulls or has a burning feeling when I move wrong. I remember my Dr telling me that that's where he pulled the stomach from so he put a stitch in. But I would ask your Dr if its still bothering you. Sent from my iPhone using VST

I was sleeved on the 25th so six days out, I'm on liquids only till my appt on April 4th. My dr said to me just concentrate on your liquids. Most important. Today was to most I have been able to get down two Water bottles 33.8 oz not too bad. It does get a little better everyday. Sent from my iPhone using VST

Hang in there. I was sleeved march 25th and am only allowed Clear liquids till hopefully my follow up visit on the 4th. I'm still hungry my stomach keeps turning I even cheated today and ate a slice of cheese. I was terrified something horrible was gonna happen and nothing did. And tasted good! Ok this might be a TMI question but how long was it before you had your first bowel movement? I was sleeved Monday the 25th and nothing much going on there except for passing gas. I have my follow up with my dr on April 4th. I wasn't really gonna worry too much about it till I go see my dr next week. Any thoughts? Thanx :-) Sent from my iPhone using VST

Yes I agree the second day was awefull. Pain nausea horrible stomach cramps.that's when the whole what the heck did I do to myself thoughts were hitting me. Well I was sleeved on Monday and everyday it has gotten a little better. I actually walked at Walmart today for alittle bit. Sent from my iPhone using VST

Guess I'm have the why did I do this kinda day. Im miserable! Haven't eaten in two days. And I'm in pain. When I take my pain med through my iv my stomach just cramps up and it hurts . So I have not taken any pain Meds since 4 this morning. I got horrible gas pains in my shoulder. And now the nausea is kicking in. Anybody have any advice that can help me???? Thank you so much everybody! Today I'm feeling better than yesterday and I get to go home. I can't wait to get off this dang IV I have never peed so much in my life! And I'm happy they didn't give me a catheter I always get bladder infections with them. Well I can say this was like nothing else I have ever experienced. Thanx everbody for the advice. My swallow/ leak test went good. They are letting me eat ice chips and they switched me to hydro co done. Thought I was gonna loose it after I swallowed the pill but I took some deep breathes and calmed myself down. Man this is tougher than I thought it would be. Dr told me today I have to keep the drain in for two weeks :-/ today was one of those what the hell were you thinking kinda days! Sent from my iPhone using VST

Thanx everybody I was pretty much out of it till about 2 or so. The pain waking up was bad I won't lie. My stomach is sore but the gas is awful in my shoulder. I finally was able to get myself outta bed and walk down the hallway a few times. and the morphine didn't agree with my new stomach so the Switched my pain meds,My stomach is growling though? Kinda weird. So they are doing a barium swallow tomorrow to check for any leaks. If everything good then I can finally have something to eat well broth and something to drink.
