Hello! I am new to this. My sleeve is scheduled for 11/26/12. Not sure what to expect. I am 5'1 and 185 lbs. Should I expect rapid results or will it be slow being that I am starting out with a lower weight? Any help or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated! THANKS!!!

It wasn't a secret but I didn't tell many people. Got some encouragement some negative response ( mostly I think from jealousy). Mostly positive feedback though. Heard a lot.."you don't need that, you're not fat"... I was 5'1 and 186 lbs....I know I was fat!!! Lol My knees and ankles feel so much better.

I started with a bmi of 35 weight 187. My surgery was 11/26/12, size 14. I am now 130 lbs, size 6. Woohoo!!! Best decision I've ever made!!!

I was sleeved 11/26. Ive lost 28 lbs so far with a 2 week stall at weeks 3-5. Can only eat 1/3 or 1/4 cup at a time depending on how dense the food is. I started out at 186 so im assuming weight loss will be slow since I started out a "lightweight". -
I was sleeved 11/26. I lost six lbs preop, 14 postop. Ive been stalled for 5 days...very discouraging. Ive read about the 3rd week stall. How long will it last? I am walking a mile a day to help but nothing!!!

Five Days Post Op & Starving!

I am 6 days post op today. Had been losing a pound a day until this morning...nothing. Yesterday I was starving! I stuck with water, broths, and protein shake and a little gatorade. And still nothing. Today I am very discouraged. Hoping this is gonna work for me! -
I had my surgery on Nov 26. I am only losing 1 lb a day. Is this normal? I keep reading other people are 10 days and 22 lbs down post op etc. Please help! Thanks!

This is the reason I havent told my inlaws and some friends. I dont want to hear their opinion. I have a college degree and think I am intelligent and mentally competent enough to understand the consequences and complications that were explained to me by my doctor..(who by the way has done the surgery before!) By the way, im scheduled for the 26 th also! Good Luck!

@bully844...I start my 2 week diet tomorrow. My surgerys the 26th. Im nervous nkw too. Its starting to become reality.

My surgery is also the 26th. And my dr said the same thing about the medicine cup and water.

I feel like any exercise is better than none at all! I intend on at least treadmill/elliptical 4-5 times a week 45 min to an hour. Thats more than I do now. And I can squeeze that in between work and picking up my little boy at daycare. I also have an elliptical at home. Guess I could wipe the dust off and use it!

Im 5'1 and 33 yrs old. I recently joined a new gym and several of my co-workers also joined. So hopefully betwern the surgery and exercise a couple times a week, i can get this excess weight off! Then maybe i can keep up with my 2 year old.

Thanks Queen of the Crop for your encoragement. Scaredy Cat, am praying this works also. Especially since im self pay!!! Lol. No really, there is a gym opening next week and several girls from my work have joined. I intend on going 4 days a week and at least walking on the treadmill. Hopefully i can stick to a routine since ill have workout buddies.
