    Still Stalling!

I've also been in a two week stall and just started taking in more protein and making sure I am getting all my water but I don't think I get enough calories. It is very frustrating to say the least but I did fit into a size smaller pants and two size smaller shirt. So I know it's working.
  4. I am at 5 weeks from my surgery date and am trying very hard to eat alot more and not depend on shakes as much. But I am so overwhelmed by what I should be watching. My diet shows to watch calories, but in the past I have always lost the best when watching carbs and listening to most people on the blog that do the same. So, should I be watching calories, fat, carbs? I am so confused and I hope that I am doing this right. I haven't lost any weight in two weeks and I am concerned that I am not doing it right. Also, how in the world can you get in 800 calories in a day. I am struggling with that. I am getting my protein and water everyday but am not meeting the calorie intake. Can anyone give me suggestions as to how to do this. I so want to get past this stall and lose during this 1st six months. Also, can you give me some of your daily menus so that I might be able to incorporate them into my daily lifestyle. Any help is much appreciated.

Any October 23Rd Sleevers Out There?

Newbie, Sorry you are having issues. Maybe try other brands of Protein or try mixing your protein with 4oz of Water or milk instead of 8oz. That helps alot. There are alot of others ways to get your protein besides the shakes. It took me a while to figure this out. Just stay on the diet that your doctor has given you and you will finally get there. I struggled alot at the beginning but am finally feeling better and am able to get my Proteins and liquids down. Good luck. For everyone else, sounds like you are doing great!!

    October Sleevers-How Ya Doin?

I was sleeved on Oct 23rd and started my mushy foods yesterday. I am struglling with trying to understand what full feels like. I consumed 3 oz of ff refried beans last night with no issues but didn't feel the "full" feeling. I just stopped. Now in saying this, I have not been hungry. I am a little confused. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  14. I had a bad last two days with getting my protein and fluid in due to throwing a party for my father. But did manage to get in all my protein though. But I was drinking them alot faster than normal due to being in a hurry to get things done. But now, I don't feel that pain (twinge) in my stomach when I drink faster. Have I messed something up? I had my sleeve on Oct 23rd, so it hasn't been that long. Have I stretched something? Help.
  15. Thanks everyone for the responses. That makes me feel better. I hope everyone has nothing but success on their journey.
  16. I am happy to see how the surgery has given you your life back! That is what I hope to experience soon. I think that most of us had the same feelings you did about food. I had my surgery on Oct 23rd and am feeling better. Still learning but still glad that I made this decision. Congrats and you look great!!
  17. You are beaming confidence!! Thanks for sharing. You look awesome!!

    Sleeved October 25

I was sleeved on the 23rd and also stayed in the hospital for 2 days. I had bad nausea and couldn't get my fluids in. I also have the gas pains and walk alot. But each day it seems to get easier. I still struggle with getting all the fluid in that I am supposed to but I do the best that I can and try to stay on a strict schedule that my nutritionist provided for me. I sometimes am not sure what I am feeling exactly, whether it's fullness, hunger, gas or what. I hear the rumbling in my stomach and not sure if it hunger or gas. I am hoping that once I get to the pureed stage, I will understand the different feelings. Best of luck to you and your journey.
  19. I am new to the forum. I was sleeved on Oct 23rd and as of today 10/26) feel much better. I had to stay in the hospital for two days because I coudn't get my fluids down. I had such bad nausea most of the time in the hopital. By the 3rd day felt better. I didn't have a cathitor or tube but did have the blood thinning shots. My body tried to throw up several times while there but never actually did. That was pretty painful on a newly constructed stomach. My focus has been trying to get 3 protein shakes in a day and the fluid. It's pretty hard work to get everything in on a daily basis but I am doing my best. I am not sure that I quite understand what I am feeling just yet though. When you become full, does that mean that it will cause a small pain in your side? Not sure how to tell if I'm full. I haven't been taking in anything other than what my dietician told me to take but hope I'm not doing anything wrong. Also, I can't really feel my bladder urges either. I have to just go sit and I do usually have to go. Anyone had that issue?
