  1. Had a possibly TMI NSV yesterday.. I am basically blind without my glasses, I need things to be within 6 inches or so to see clearly so shaving my legs has been pretty hit or miss (mostly miss) for many years.. Yesterday I was able to bend over and actually see what I was doing I was pretty proud. Other NSVs From size 4x tshirt to L, size 28 pants to a tight 16/loose 18. It's pretty amazing... I stole my oldest daughter's shirt the other day.. (don't tell her

    Is it really that impossible?

I am almost 5 months out and got a reminder from my sleeve just a few days ago I was really hungry so I just shoveled some food in (still wasn't anything close to what I used to eat), next thing I knew my stomach was shoveling it right back out with a vengeance Stick to the plan, eat slow, you will lose.

    Doctor is disappointed

Maybe he misread the notes an thought you were 9 months?! Otherwise he is crazy
  4. I was hot yesterday, but a cold front came through and now it's coooooooooooold!
  5. My favorites for TOM are cocoa almonds.. almost like chocolate covered almonds but with only 5 carbs per 1/4 cup and these delicious "Supreme Protein" Protein bars. Specifically the caramel nut chocolate flavor, you have a chocolate outer coating with little crisp rice (like krackle), nougat and real caramel. 15g protein, and 5 sugars, (15 sugar alcohols). They are crazy good and fake low carb pretty well. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001RD6L98/ref=as_li_ss_til?tag=solacefarm-20&camp=0&creative=0&linkCode=as4&creativeASIN=B001RD6L98&adid=1S7GY74BPCPYDT2DCPQH& Walmart has them too, looks like GNC as well.
  6. I get mini stalls ... I will stay the same weight for a day or two and then lose a pound. As you can see from the ticker we're extremely close weight loss wise and we were sleeved on the same day too, and I just saw we have almost the same starting weight even! So, seems like even though you're having long stalls and I had short stalls, we're still losing pretty close to the same amount.. Only real different is that I have more to lose than you do. I can say don't sweat the stalls, but we all sweat the stalls. We're both still losing pretty good either way.
  7. Luckysmomma - Be patient, give it time. You'll be able to eat whatever you want soon enough. I am almost 5 months out and I can eat whatever I want. I haven't tried alcohol yet, but I haven't been a big drinker since I turned 25 or so. I've always been jealous of those tiny girls that can be happy with a slice of pizza or half a hamburger when I had to have half a pizza (or more!) and burger, fries and still be looking around for something else to snack on. Instead of going out and being sad that you cant eat, go out and be happy you have more time to talk without having to finish the bite or you can be generous and let someone else have the last bite because you are full. It's kind of like stopping smoking.. suddenly it's like you gained an extra hand because it's no longer having to always hold the cigarette. You don't always know what to do with that hand, but eventually you get used to having two hands again. You'll get used to the amount of food you can eat and space it out accordingly. I voted "other" in the poll. I'm not where I want to be right now, so it is hard to be fully behind it. I had no complications, my first 4 months were fast losing, even this last month I've lost weight faster than I've ever lost it before...it's just not as fast as I want it to be. I look at my hands or my legs and they seem smaller. I look at pictures and I'm still HUGE. Maybe I should have gone with the bypass or one of the other more extreme surgeries.. I think right now I'm just looking over all the other fences and deciding their pastures are greener though. I think overall it was the best thing I could have done for myself. I could not have lost (and kept it off) the weight by myself. I feel healthier than I've felt in a very long time. hair grows back, scars fade and loose skin is the reason Spandex was created.
  8. Yes you are doing fine. If you are really worried you can try to change up your diet and/or exercise. Less carb or carb out, no exercise or massive exercise... Shock your body into losing again. A day or two and usually I can talky body into losing again. Just don't make the bad habits your habits
  9. I am hungry sometimes too.. but honestly I think it's more boredom than hunger. If I keep busy then I don't eat, if I sit around then I eat. Luckily I've done some "tests" and I can't eat more than i could initially, but it doesn't matter if I eat more often. I've also found if I neglect to take my Omeprazole then I eat more. I asked my doctor about it and he said he's heard anecdotal stories but nothing concrete. So, take your Omep, stay busy, try not to think about food.
  10. Well that isn't very helpful (for me Good luck on the plastics
  11. May Kelley, what "reason" did you give for needing it so that it was approved by insurance?
  12. 11/21 and haven't started losing hair yet, but am waiting for it to start. Might even be a good thing since I used new hair dye and it turned my hair into a HORRIBLE shade of orange.

    Dallas, Texas Sleevers! !

Hello While I have been sleeved, my husband didn't qualify for insurance so we are looking into the cash pay option. Specifically someone that doesn't suck and is at or under 10k. We are in the northeast (think rockwall-ish) part of Dallas, but willing to drive a little. We aren't trying to cheap out but 10k is pretty much all we can do. Recommendations? (Not Mexico, already suggested it and you would have thought I told him to do the surgery himself
