CJsmom84 posted a topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Ok this has to do with breastfeeding after pregnancy that happened after surgery. I'm just wondering of anyone has had difficulty or success with breastfeeding after baby. I breastfeed my son and want to do it with our daughter who is due in Feb. I wonder what you do to keep up supply and if you do anything special or take anything. I just want to bee as prepared as possible. Thank you! Cady Sent from my EVO using VST -
Ok so my pregnancy is going great, baby caught back up to what he/she is suppose to be. So my due date its moved back tool Feb 28th, morning sickness is just at night. I'm super disgustingly gassy. My appetite has increased, my pouch isn't not as tight. I'm craving jolly ranchers of all things. Gummy Vitamins 2xs a day once at night once in the morning. I drink a cup of coffee every other day. I'm 13 weeks I did my quad screen everything came back great. Very healthy baby I've been very lucky and ill off and on. My total weight gain for 13 weeks is 3lbs, so far so good. My next doc appt is September 3rd. I'm grateful for this pregnancy. God is good. Sent from my EVO using VST

That was never an issue. I didn't have cysts if I did they were teeny tiny and didn't affect me pain or discomfort wiser. I have the hair, I didn't ovulate, I had extremely high testosterone levels, 4 proud a year if I was lucky. But everything seems to be normal except I still grow hair. Once I hit fifty pounds down my period returned. It felt great most woman wouldn't say that but honestly I feel like a Woman again! Hope everything begins to clear up our worst event carbs and refined sugars keep your eyes on the prize! Sent from my EVO using VST

not pregnant but wanting advice.
CJsmom84 replied to betty20032001's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I miscarried with clomid first tinge, but second time was successful I have a 9 year old daughter. My second attempt ended in a blighted ovum. The third attempt I used femara and hormone injection (just 1) and was very successful with a third pregnancy on that. I have a 4 year old. This will be my third baby but my 5th pregnancy. I have walked in your shoes. Do what you feel is best for you. And good luck in whatever way you pursue to get there. I don't regret my decision. I am gaining weight which scares me now, more than it did even a week ago. But I know it's going to come off again. Good luck! Sent from my EVO using VST -

11 months post op, 15 weeks pregnant
CJsmom84 replied to jaded's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I've gained 10 now but I bounce in weight up and down. Every body I have spoken with said your restriction returns and weightloss happens just make sure even if you indulge stay as best you can on diet. I haven't been putting enough Water in and eating instead that's how I've gained a bit. But because I want to breastfeed I'm trying to train myself now to start drinking more. I also struggle to keep my blood sugar up. It keeps diving so I have to eat late at night which also contributes. But don't fret the weight it comes off. congrats! By the way I was 7 months when I got preggers hw: 294 dos:261 when I got pregnant: 196-97 currently:207. I could worry I just don't look at myself in the mirror naked it reminds how I looked before all the weight was gone lol I'm currently 21 weeks most of the weight gained since I've started snacking late. I know this is all temporary. Sent from my EVO using VST -
I'm 20 weeks and gained about 10 don't listen to her. My doc seems to have no qualms with me gaining weight. Generally speaking you would naturally gain between 20 to 25 lbs anyway. I would take it with a grain of salt. Sent from my EVO using VST

After VSG do you have pregnancy cravings & gain weight like a normal pregnant woman?

We found out we are having a girl! I'm currently half way through my pregnancy and ecstatic. Cannot wait to meet her! Still only about a 7lb gain. I bounce between 200 & 207. But I've had kidney stone and a dangerous bout with my blood sugar last night. I dropped to 48 anything below 65 is not good and mine was dangerously low. But I'm in good hands so I'm not too worried I've had gestational diabetes with the two previous pregnancies. So I'm handling it accordingly. The doctor will probably see me tomorrow. I'm just grateful for a healthy baby and so far a pretty good pregnancy. Sent from my EVO using VST

So I'm 16 weeks and have kidney stones the worst feeling in the world. Even harder when your pregnant. This is my second bout of them. Ouch!!!!! So they have me on norco. I hate taking pain meds but I'm sill in so so so much pain. Anyway, just keeping fluids in, because eating hurts Sent from my EVO using VST

Question for PCOS patients!
CJsmom84 replied to ahealthyneci's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Just do it both my previous babies were fertility treatments. I got pregnant 6 months after surgery all natural! Believe me quite a shock! Sent from my EVO using VST -
Just a personal opinion. I wouldn't do the depo shot. I had it before I got the sleeve, its poison. I would do just birth control pills, the implant, or the ring. I gained 60 lbs in 9 months on it, had migraines everyday, bleed for 9 months straight. Ended up anemic and never felt right after I got off of it until I got the sleeve and lost my weight. Just do your research most everyone I know had a bad experience including myself. But ultimately the choice is yours. Sent from my EVO using VST

pregnancy weight gain worries
CJsmom84 replied to joanne2013's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I don't know weight in kgs but I'm 17 weeks and 6lbs gained I'm hoping that everything just keeps going as it is my goal is just to be 25lbs heavier at the end of the pregnancy. As long as I avoid the gestational diabetes I think I will be fine. I would worry about it too much. Most from what I've learned have bounced back with in weeks of delivery. Just talk with your doc and get a plan in place also with your nut. Sent from my EVO using VST -
3 months out & baby crazy!
CJsmom84 replied to tamarlarae's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I would say wait I understand your desire. I was on birth control, got pregnant at 6 months post OP. I've gone through a lot. My stomach constantly hurts, I struggle with food again, I struggle worth liquid, I was at the phase where I could eat anything. But I'm back to the beginning everything feels like a ton of bricks hitting my tummy. I've had kidney stones from dehydration, and I would rather do the beginning of surgery a thousand times over! With gas pain and all. My baby is doing great but if I'd waited maybe things wouldn't be so bad for me. I definitely don't regret my baby ever! I've had two fertility babies previously and ever so grateful I had a surprise pregnancy but wish I would have waited a year out. I'm considered high risk due to the sleeve. Extra care extra Vitamins extra precautions and everything. Ultimately its your choice the doctors can tell you no. But its your body! Just make sure you're where you want to be. I still haven't hit goal, I'm in a four pound bounce. I'm not truly concerned with weight because each of my last pregnancies were within normal gain. So I'm just praying no gestational diabetes. But good luck in whatever you choose. I'd just wait tool your a year out. Good luck! Sent from my EVO using VST -

8 MONTHS OUT AND PREGNANT!
CJsmom84 replied to ShrinkyDinkMe22's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Hey girl you and I were sleeved on the same day. I'm 12 weeks pregnant. Congrats! I'm in a 3lb bounce no real significant weight gain. Had really bad morning sickness that lasted all day. But getting better everyday! How many weeks are you? Sent from my EVO using VST -
Usually they request that you don't for two reasons, nutrition concerns, and meeting and maintaining goal. I am pregnant 12 weeks and almost 9 months out. I miss my energy and feeling sexy. But so far so good. As much as I'd prefer to have waited, it happens don't stress my obgyn knew I had this surgery and is taking precautions and helping me. He was very knowledgeable and experienced with these pregnancies. So just make sure whatever obgyn had those qualifications to be able to handle your case and make sure your care is top notch. Good luck. And is a blessing PS this is the first pregnancy I've had without fertility treatments! Sent from my EVO using VST
