  1. So everything went great surgery was perfect, and I had no complications (praise God!). Let me be very honest. The first day was horrible, even into the first night. I had so much chest pain from the gas and acid reflux, its extremely painful, but would rather see you prepared. My only incision that hurt was the one where they took out my stomach. It burned but by day two I was fine. I'm excited to go home today. Yesterday I had 14oz of liquid and today I've already had 4 yes I'm tired. But walking gives me energy and it helps with moving my food and gas so very much do as much walking as you can. I wish you all the best of luck on your journies. And remember you make this tool work for you, but you must exercise abs use it the right way. I'm glad I made this decision, one of the best choices I made )
  2. Getting ready for my surgery. I'm scheduled for 11:15. I'm finally nervous. But completely confident in my surgeon and staff. And I have my faith. See you guys on the sleeved side )
  3. I'm excited very much. I'm not really scared or nervous, but maybe that will change. God has just given me a peace about the whole situation. This whole last week I've been on a liquid diet, and I kept thinking about the foods I can't have now that I will later, ie donuts fries etc etc...But I had to change that. I know due to my addiction there is no more fries, donuts, fastfood. I don't want to waste this opportunity. So everytime I begin to crave something bad, I immediatly change into craving a grilled chicken salad or something healthy. Retrain your brain lol Its taking time and effort. I believe this week has taught me to respect food. There is purpose for food its not for comfort or to medicate anxiety. I'm really believing that its finally clicked for me. I couldn't fast one day before this but I've gone 7 without something to eat. So I may not post tmrw, but for sure tuesday. I hope you all get out of your journey what I've gotten out of mine, and I've just walked the first mile. Here's to small waistlines, healthy habits, and a new life! Highest weight: 294.4 lbs Current: 261.8

    PCOS !

I have pcos and in my book that I got from my doc it can reverse a lot of the effects. Such as infertility, hair, hygene and not having a period. Usually when your over weight that induces pcos. The docs say lose weight get better. So yes it can help but doesn't always resolve everything.
  9. I'm 12/10/12 :0) good luck!
  10. I wouldn't suggest appetite suppressants. If you can get to day 3 it gets much easier. I can have sugar free popsicles and Jello, broth and 3 protien shakes. I'm always hungry physically but not appetite wise. I'm on day 4 & I'm down 7lbs in 3 days. Just stick to it and don't cheat, I feel I'm preparing for the two weeks of liquid after surgery. You can do this! I'm even having to prepare meals for my children and husband. And I haven't even licked my fingers after getting spaghetti sauce on it. I am praying a lot too. You will be able to do this! My surgery its monday I will pray that you get through your LD with ease ) Best of luck )
  11. No one notice me at my ten year HS Reunion lol and fit on roller coasters and go shopping in tge skinny section. Yeah I've got a lot I can't wait to do )

    Full Liquid Diet

They says I could have sugar free jello n popsicles. Use the protien shakes like meals but your going to ne hungry no matter what. I'm on day two. Its to the point where I'm physically hungry but mentally i'm just too tired to eat. I'm taking about 350 in calories and still burning about 450 during exercise. Don't worry the long term goal is worth it ;D
  13. I've started my pre-op diet today. I made it! But I have 6 more days to go. I keep telling myself each day a battle and a short 7 day war. I'm learning what strength consists of. Lots of prayer and focusing on strength given to me by God. I tell myself this is all worth it. My docs require a mid week weigh in. So thats wednesday. I'm hoping this week flies by fast. December 10th I'm so flippin excited!

  15. I'm super scared and excited at the same time. I was scheduled today for my dec 10th surgery. Was very shocked because I was told that I couldn't get in until after the first of the year. I only have a week to prepare. I believe this is a God doing. I am so very happy that I got in this month ) Thank God for all His blessings. Small and Big )
  16. Thanks! Yes, preparing is a huge part I have an 8 & 3 year old. So I'm going to be getting a lot done over the next week. But I'm thrilled.)
  17. Yes, a GREAT new start to the new year ) Congrats to you!
  18. I didn't have good responses either. I have five sisters, and my husband, and his siblings (13 including spouses). My older sister says she was upset because I would finally look hot she has always told me I would be the prettiest but because I was fat Im not (cruel I know), and that somehow bothered her, my other sister said she wouldn't be able to look at me and think I worked hard and lost my weight, she said she could only look at the doctors for my success, my mom tried discouraging me after my other sister said stuff, my husband was mad for a while til something changed his mind. The only ones supportive from the beginning were hubs mom and sister and sister in law (she had the roux en y bypass). My doctor has lost 2 patients in 10 years, one to a heart attack and one to a leak. He has not lost a patient in 4 years. You always acknowledge the risk. Also after being your weight for so long they probably fear who you might become, and how this surgery well impact you and your life. So don't sweat it just let it roll off your back and move on. People who love you are going have to adjust to a big change, and thats normal took get reactions, like that.
  19. Ok so november is the home stretch, I get my medical clearance, physiology appt, and final appt with surgeon to schedule surgery. But that doesn't happen until november 30th. Then I will find out my date for my surgery. Everything else is taken care of from seminar to insurance, nothing left but these 3 appts. It feels so far away.
  20. I'm wondering if anybody lives in michigan and getting it done at Henry Ford Hospital? I've got Dr. Carlin, I was just curious about procedure after 2nd visit with the surgeon.
  21. 40nsleeven Good luck I did my group consult on Oct 2nd I'm at medical clearance and physiology, stage then at the end of nov I go in for my second consult and surgery date. It goes by fast. )
  22. second surgeon not archive
  23. Ok question, at my archive surgeon consult they are scheduling my surgery how long between the time your surgery was scheduled til you get it done? Did you schedule it the first appt with the doc or did you do all your pre op appts then schedule it?
