Scared about pregnancy
CJsmom84 replied to mandynichole's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
I'm only 8 weeks but almost 8 months post op, my restriction at first was just me trying to get as much food in because of an appetite. Now for three last week my restriction had increased I'm sick and fluids like our liquid diet before hand is what I'm at. I heard most women Auer a baby with sleeve lose 90 percent within the first six weeks. So far I'm with a 4 lbs bounce. And that's 8 weeks. I honestly think you'll be fine. I plan on best feeding and I usually drop a significant amount of weight just because of that. Don't worry. Sent from my EVO using VST -

That was definitely one of my motives for the surgery. But my primary was living for the children I already had I finally had a 28 day cycle after losing a good chunk of weight. I'm 95 lbs down. And losing more due to morning sickness lol Sent from my EVO using VST -

So I'm pregnant. I'm excited. Ready to do this. A bit earlier than it should have happened, but I'm ok with it. I'm 91 pounds down. First surprise ever! Two fertility babies before my surgery. My question for those who are already pregnant post sleeve, how is morning sickness for you? I feel very ill, but a lot of restriction even Fluid can hurt. I always feel worse after eating. My symptoms can be very different from my last pregnancies, nipples hurt no tender breasts but shooting pain in them, my veins aren't a deep deep blue, but definitely notice a difference. I expect that things will be different because my stomach is different, no hormones or fertility drugs before hand, I weigh almost 100lbs less. So anyone else experiencing the same things. Won't see my doctor until Friday so I won't be able to ask for tummy drugs until then Sent from my EVO using VST -
I did that for a few weeks but now I'm 8 weeks and sicker than a dog restriction is worse than ever. Almost like right after surgery. But I'm sure it will come back. I am no doctor but I believe the hormones help expand the pouch so we can consume more. I've also heard restriction comes back after delivery. Good luck and congrats! Sent from my EVO using VST

Anyone had surgery to have a baby...
CJsmom84 replied to linda305's topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
My infertility was a catalyst for the surgery. I had two babies with relatively little help pills and maybe a hormone shot. Tried for baby number 3, no success, said they wouldn't touch Me unless I lost 65 lbs. Knew I couldn't do it on my own. I have a 28 cycle. Never in my life had I had them. I had Pcos before the surgery seems to have reduced most side effects except the hair. Good luck I think any reason is generally a good reason for this surgery. Just remember to Pareto on your path. Good luck. Sent from my EVO using VST -
No problem. I wanted to know to understand the damage I had done to myself. My husband asked my doc because I had forgotten to before surgery. You're docs should have it back you can ask them about yours Sent from my EVO using VST

Thanks Cheri, Your insight is very helpful. I'm glad to hear you didn't have nearly the compilations ie diabetes with this pregnancy. And have lost weight and are able to pump. I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. Again, I appreciate your feed back Sent from my EVO using VST -
four months out not pregnant but have questions...
CJsmom84 posted a topic in Pregnancy with Weight Loss Surgery
Hi everyone, I'm not pregnant I'm on birth control. I'm being careful because they said wait 18 months. I'm worried about weight gained and post pregnancy weight loss. If you could educate me on your experiences (I'm a total planner). I am trying to swallow the thought of gaining weight. Both previous pregnancies were about 40lbs but I had gestational diabetes with both. And could not get pregnant because of fertility issues after my last, I have pcos, but I'm cycling every 28 days even without bc. Can you breast feed after? I did with my son and would love to do it again. Thanks for all your information and advice before hand. Sent from my EVO using VST -

After my surgery on Dec 10th I didn't lose anything but 4 lbs for the first three weeks and that my dear was just my stomach that was removed (I got the lab report on my stomach I wanted to know how much it weighed). Your body has gone into starvation mode holding onto anything and everything you consume. I bet you maybe have a bowl movement every 5-6 days. That's still how it is for me. Now 5 months post op. With pre and post surgery weightloss I'm down 82 lbs it will come off give your body time. I've lost since surgery 48 lbs. But I'm five months out. Some people have lost a ton more. I still have 60 more pounds to go. It can look discouraging when you look at numbers. Call your nut and doc and see if they have any suggestions, mine said I was not consuming enough that's why I wasn't losing. Good luck! Sent from my EVO using VST

How do you girls handle the cravings? Its not that I can eat a lot, but I graze for about 4 days then I start my cycle and I go back to normal. But its frustrating feeling for four days I have very little control. I try fluids or napping or leaving the house but sometimes its horrible sometimes overwhelmingly so. Any advice or sympathy lol would be greatly appreciated.... Thanks Cady Sent from my EVO using VST

Did your husband support your decision?
CJsmom84 replied to musiclover's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
My husband wasn't at first but he came around. He said he'd rather me get this done than end up with diabetes high blood pressure and all the other things that come along with it. He had his moments after the surgery. But all in all is happy with the out come. He says I'm so much more happier and easier to be around. We want more babies and I was unable to get pregnant after fertility treatments in a year we will be able to start trying again. Men sometimes can only see with a jealous eye. He will have to look at the whole picture. -

I worried how it would turn out I've come to accept my waist will always be larger, for every 10 lbs I've lost about 1 inch on my waist. I was 54 now I'm 46 inches. Don't get discouraged, eventually you will eat normal, please avoid pastas and breads with our body shape those tend to be our issues. I can do crackers and sometimes tortillas. Because of yeast. I avoid rice, but I will eat potatoes, I love salads, that is my secret. I've never noticed a stall just slower weight loss. But I'm losing my hair, but everything is only for a short time. Just keep going that goal will be in reach. I've got 50lbs to go before goal. My journey isn't over yet. Love yourself, just realize food never loved us it hurt us. I make mistakes, I screw up but I keep getting back on the diet. I do not eat fast food, but if I'm craving something sweet I will get something, I go out to eat and I eat. Everything in moderation. It gets better hang in there.
