    Nausea H-E-double hockey sticks

Hi Jenn, I'm just about 2 months out of surgery. My nausea was to pretty bad as well! My surgeon prescribed regulan, ativan, and zofran. I hated zofran because it didn't feel like it did anything, however the regulan and ativan works wonders. The other tip that really worked for me was decaffeinated green tea. The tea did wonders for me, it took away my nausea for awhile, so I could get some Protein down. Since surgery I have also been to the ER twice now and both times I was dehydrated. After I was a month out my nausea went away completely. It didn't bug me and the bloating from the surgery was pretty much gone as well. It's all a matter of time...once the staple line heals hopefully your swelling will go down!

    Gallbladder Surgery After VSG?

Yeah its a little bigger than my prilosec! I haven't had too much trouble with them, just the first few days. This is my 2nd week with them. It becomes easier as you get in the habit of taking them!

    Dont flame me

Honestly the pre-op diet was rough. In fact I didn't follow through with it all the way. However I really regret not sticking withit. Any weight you can lose pre-op will be of benefit to you. Also it will make you procedure go much smoother. My recovery was slightly longer than average because I wasn't able to lose enough weight. However I'm now down 40 pounds so I can't complain. Just do the best you can!
