Today is starting out great my 4 year old started Pre K and I walked my 8 year old to the bus stop so I got in a little more than a half hour of exercise. I am doing well with my protein and water intake.

Don't be frustrated my doctor told me that in between losing you would gain a little if you are exercising it could be fat turning into muscle which weighs more and that is a good thing :*) I haven't weighed myself yet because the nutritionist told me to weight because I would be 20 lbs heavier leaving the hospital due to Fluid build up.
  3. I haven't tried the cookies and cream but definitely will. I just like the cans have 35g of protein and they definitely have to be cold or are gross.
  4. Had my surgery the 17th my shoulder was really sore from gas but finally feeling a little better. Everything else seems to be well. No BM yet, but I am on a clear liquid diet so it's expected. Good Luck everyone
  5. I had my surgery on the 17th didn't really use the morphine pump and took tylenol for 3 nights after surgery hoping I would sleep better that's when mine was most painful. It feels a lot better to get up and walk around it's just the getting up part that is painful. It's been 4 days and I am starting to be a lot less sore and feel like I will be ready for work on Wed. Most of my pain is the right side on my larger incision I have 5 total. My cravings and hunger is pretty much gone for now, but I did dream about a chocolate chip cookie the other day LOL and craving baked potato with garlic and cheese. Just stay active and hydrated and you will be fine the more you walk in the hospital the better you really will feel. It may not seem like it at first, but it works. Good Luck

    Gall Bladder Attack!

Hope you are all feeling better. My brother-in-law had bypass and had to have his gall bladder out after 3 months and at 7 months have his appendix removed. I'm hoping no one has to go through both those surgeries.
  7. I drink the Pure Protein before surgery I liked chocolate now I prefer vanilla I'm not sure what RTD is, but the cans have 35 g of protein in 11 oz so it helps a lot with protein intake. They sell them at GNC (expensive) and local grocery stores (cheaper) if you like them Amazon sells by the case. I really liked strawberry they gave me in hospital but don't know the brand :*( going to ask the nutritionist.

I think I over did it a little today took a 15 minute walk to the park for my 2 girls to play for 15 minutes and 15 minute walk home. Then decided to cook for the family pork chops, baked potatoes, corn, biscuits and some potato salad for tomorrow because the potatoes were going to go bad otherwise. Did all the dishes and finally relaxing. Slept a little better last night and doing well with my protein intake, but not quite there. I feel like I may need a maternity belt or something also I have one of those belts for working out but I think it makes you sweat and that won't be good for the incisions maybe if I wear it over my shirt while I'm home. Maybe it will help.

Sleeve guru you are going to be fine. You won't fail this time you have tons of support. Just remember that chocolate cake probably looks way better than it tastes. Try a chocolate protein shake and if you are at the point in your diet some chocolate pudding. Craving meat have some Swanson chicken broth it really is good and it might help your cravings.

I had mine 10/17 so couple days after the rest of you and today I am starting to feel a lot less sore. I haven't taken pain meds since the night before last because I didn't feel it was really helping and the 2 nights prior I only took them at bedtime. Bedtime is the worst for me my left shoulder is sore and my right arm. My right arm because my iv was out of place and was pumping fluid in the wrong spot, the swelling finally went down so that's good. I agree about those tv commercials showing food every few minutes never noticed before until now. I like the Pure Protein Vanilla in a can and it has 35 grams of protein for just 11 oz they sell it at GNC (expensive like $3) and local grocery stores (cheaper between $1.50-$2) or on amazon you can by a case for a decent price. I am going to start walking outside today for 15 minutes and I go to work on Wed so I really hope I am feeling up to it :*) Good Luck on everyones weight loss.

    Newbie Needing Some Advice...

I just had my sleeve on the 20th of October. My diet is clear liquid for 2 weeks, next is full liquid diet for 2-4 weeks, then puree/baby food for 4-6 weeks after and finally around week 10 I can have chicken :*) I will probably try baby food because I think it will be easier then blending everything.
