I am 28 years old, and have struggled with my weight for as long as I can remember. I clearly remember being made fun of as a child, and that has stuck with me my entire life. I have tried every diet and exercise program out there. I lost the most weight using Phentermine combined with an exercise program. (40 lbs) Once I discontinued the phentermine, the weight loss stopped. Even though I continued to work out. I eventually gained it all back. I was at my all time highest after the birth of my son, and am still struggling to get the weight off. I was doing weight watchers, but found it wasn't helping like I thought it should. When I started researching WLS, I saw a light at the end of the tunnel. I decided to look into it, and found my doctor very supportive of it. I am to be sleeved in January. While it is very scary, the thought of all the things I will be able to do with my son in the future makes me excited. I want to be a good example for him, and have him feel proud that I am his mom. I want to be proud of me. So, fingers crossed and prayers said, here I go!
