Hi! I am in the Upstate. Please understand that this is life changing surgery and you have a right to be overwhelmed and full of questions. The good thing is you have all of us to do it with you! I had surgery in May. I had almost no pain. I had tons of gas, even in my shoulders and back. So lots of walking. My first walk was late evening because they gave me lots of meds even though I had the first surgery of the day. I do know that I am grateful that I did it. I wish I had done it years ago!! Hear for you! Blessings ~ Melody (BlessedFun2)

Hi sorry I am just seeing this. But everyone gave some great suggestions especially Popsicles. Watermelon saved my life. It was all I could manage when I was dehydrated. I really hope and pray that you are feeling better. Blessings ~ Melody (BlessedFun2)

Persistent but mild nausea @ 4 weeks?
Blessedfun replied to ctsleeve's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had nausea and acid reflux at 6 weeks. Got dehydrated. Got prescription for zofran and Pepcid. Had low potassium and magnesium. Things have gotten better. Give the doctor a call. They will look into it before it goes too far. I waited and suffered and then spent 4 days in the hospital. Wish you well. Blessings! Blessings ~ Melody (BlessedFun2) -

For years I wanted to go to a Yoga class. Yesterday I attended my first class! I was able to hang for the whole class. So I was beyond thrilled! Afterwards my sister and I walked on the treadmill for a couple miles and spent some time on the stepper too. We finished up with a healthy fruit Protein smoothie from the gym's bar to celebrate! Can't wait to try Zumba and Pilates!!! Loving this sleeved life! Blessings! Surgery - 05/15/2013 Down - 63 lbs

Be encouraged! You will get there. Believing for your healing! There is a auto-immune thread. Might be some info to help and encourage you. A lot of us have gone into remission after surgery. I have not taken meds since April after 20 years of meds. You will make it to the bench! Blessings ~ Melody (BlessedFun2)

Autoimmune Issues and VSG?
Blessedfun replied to Tjohnson322's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was diagnosed with all of those too. Celiac Disease prepared me well for the Sleeve journey. I am used to preparing my food ahead of time. I always carried food with me just in case nothing was available for me. It has helped too that carbs are low on my list. I was Sleeved May 15 and am down over 63. Blessings!
