    Found Awesome Protein-Source!

That sounds delicious! Thank you! And what is egg face?

    Ok, I am officially insane!

Totally agree. Of course we've all had issues with will power or we wouldn't be here, BUT... this is it, folks. If you mess this up, what option is left to help you fix your obesity? 10 days out of surgery is no time to be cheating - and not once - with fried dough but then to follow that up with Chef Boyardee which you think is "pretty good because there's some meat in it." Great post, Delta-girl. This isn't about bullying, it absolutely is tough love. You can do this, you have to put your mind to it and make the right choices, over and over again. Again, good luck!

    Found Awesome Protein-Source!

Yep, that's them! Are you in the States? I am on the West Coast but I know that on the East Coast there is a BJ's Warehouse store - If you can't find Costco I would check them or Sam's Club - I'm sure they sell something similar.
  5. I have read over and over of people eating mashed potatoes and/or cream Soups as a regular part of their Post-Sleeve diet. Can someone explain this to me? Those are fattening foods, right? My surgeon specifically instructed protein-only. Do all surgeons not do that?

    Ok, I am officially insane!

I don't feel I was rude, I think it just wasn't what OP wanted to hear. Wish you the best of luck! I would contact your surgeon or Nutritionist for a list of what foods you should be eating when. For me, personally, I had a very strict list for the week 3-4 period. I think it was eggs, Reduced-Fat Peanut Butter, Milk and Cottage-Cheese. No more than 1/4 cup (or 1 egg or 2 TBSP's peanut butter) and I was to eat 3 times per day with no Snacks. Every surgeon's recommendations are different, however.

    sweet tooth

No, I really can't, BUT... try drinking a cup of decaffeinated, flavored herbal tea. Celestial Seasonings makes a "Sugar Cookie" flavor that I tried tonight - With no sweeteneer, whatsoever, it tastes JUST like a sugar cookie! Decaffeinated and zero calories!

Did anyone NOT have hair loss

Nothing so far. I'll be 3 months on 12/11. I've heard it begins around 3 months, though, so we'll see.

    Ok, I am officially insane!

You want support for eating fried dough as your first food following weight loss surgery. How is that going to be helpful to you?

    Ok, I am officially insane!

No offense but...... A) If your Mom brought you a hush puppy, why couldn't she have instead brought you something healthy like an egg? Why would you choose fried dough as your first solid food? Lifestyle changes are very important here - It's not just a matter of what you CAN get into your stomach. I could get only cheesecake into my stomach if I wanted to but that wouldn't help me lose weight.

    I feel stuck

How long have you been stuck? I find that for about a week to 10 days after my period is over, I don't lose any weight and then suddenly it starts dropping again. This has happened each month so far.
  12. Thank you! I eat protein only. Today, I had... 1/2 Turkey Burger Patty for Breakfast 1 Turkey Hot Dog for Lunch (hot dog only 1/2 Turkey Burger Patty for Dinner I do 3 meals, no snacks, protein only and try to get at least 50 grams of protein. Costco's Kirkland Frozen Turkey Burgers are awesome - 200 calories and 35 grams of protein. I didn't really exercise, per se, but I am a stay at home mom to my 1 year old and 2 year old so I am definitely not sedentary. But I just joined an exercise program last night called Crossfit and will be doing that 3 days per week. I have cheated twice in three months. One night I had popcorn and one night I had these cranberry almond pop things. Everything else I've eaten has been on plan and protein-only. I'm reeeeally trying to take this seriously and so far it's working well for me.
  13. And if so, are you seeing amazing results? I just started and I'm so excited!
  14. Mom2IrishTwins

    Any Fellow Cross-Fitters Here?

Good luck to both of you too! I did my first one last night so we'll see - I like how they scale everything for different skill levels, so anyone can do it!

    Thanks everyone!

    Sleeved Sept. 17Th

Sleeved 9/11 and down 66 lbs. I drink 64 ounces of water, minimum, am taking in at least 40 grams of protein per day, usually more like 50 and consume around 600 calories per day. I work out 3 days a week but it's an intense workout.
  17. No! What's PB2? Do tell!
  18. You really need the Protein. I'm surprised your NUT would recommend cream Soups. Have you tried Reduced-Fat Peanut Butter? When I started on mushy food sthat was one of m options and I could have 2TBSP's red. fat PB. It was much more tolerable, for me, than chicken, etc. I think the light-headed issues are dehydration. Water, water, water!

    First Very Bad Experience...

I would stick with protein and no carbs. It'll be better for your weight loss and you won't have to deal with such awful experiences like that.

    One-der-Land!

Thank you! Haha! Very happy - Best decision ever!

    Stay hydrated, folks!

So sorry to hear that! I had a heck of a time getting my water in during the first month too, had lots of near-fainting experiences, the shakes, etc. It gets MUCH Easier to get in your water after the first month or two. Now I can take normal drinks/gulps even and am easily able to get in 64 ounces. Hope you get well soon!!
  22. It hasn't changed it at all, which I'm thinking is a good sign for the health of our marriage.
  23. 1st Month: 30 lbs 2nd Month: 22 lbs 3rd Month - Have 4 more days until it's over but so far have lost 14 lbs.

    Attn kaiser members.....

Kaiser Fresno. I took along time with my classes but once I got them finished, all I had to do was reach my goal weight and then I was scheduled, like, 2 weeks after meeting that goal weight. I was told by the psych who approved me that there is hardly any wait because most people get to the point where they have to lose their pre-surgery weight and they are unsuccessful.
  25. Nothing off-plan so far! Woop!
