    Bmi

Hello all! I'm actually having my sleeve done in Boston. However, my mom is interested in surgery but does not meet the 35 BMI requirement to have it done here. Those of you going to Mexico is their any criteria to determine eligibility? Anyone with a lower BMI going to have surgery in Mexico?
  2. I've actually started a blog if anyone is interested........ Thegreatdownsize.com/blogspot Hope everyone is doing well!

Do Any Of You Feel Guilt?

My psychologist put these feelings for me in a perfect prospective...she said " having a VSG will be the most valuable tool in your tool box that you will have to carry around with you everywhere, all the other tools (exercise, regulating food, fighting emotional hunger) will all have to be utilized equally". In other words this surgery alone will not get us thin and keep us that way, we need to combine all efforts.
  4. How's it going George?? Ay major obstacles yet? I'm glad you can acknowledge men are less than manly when it comes to medical stuff lol. How's the weight loss so far?
  5. Ok so how'd it go??? We are waiting to hear!
  6. Yay! So happy for you! You'll do grey and it'll be over with before you know it. I'm so jealous!!!
  7. Getting very close George! I'm living vicariously through you since I'm so far from my date!
  8. Getting close George! How are you feeling?
  9. I told everyone. I'm too excited to contain myself! My boss, coworkers, and my staff are all incredibly supportive of me. My marketing director is also having WLS (RNY) so we have been able to talk about the pre op process together. It never even crossed my mind to not be honest with people.
  10. Good luck George!!! I would do anything just to have a surgery date, so i'm super jealous. All you MGH'ers.....how long did the whole process take? they seem to be pretty busy so I was curious what the timeline was like for some of you....
  11. Sorry I did not even answer your question. No problems so far with HPHC then again I dont know if paperwork was already submitted or not from the hospital. For me its pretty black and white....they cover VSG, and I qualify, so what kind of problem could their be? I have no dqte for surgery but based off how long it took to get a surgeon appointment, and thrn go through the pre op support groups im estimating january or february....too far away!!
  12. Hi! Yes I have my surgeon appointment with Dr. Gee from MGH on 12/5! The waiting is the worse part! So far ive had a great experience with MGH and it appears everyone else has too. Follow my blog at thegreatdownsize.blogspot.com
