I live in Weston FL - I paid 18900 for all inclusive pre-op / surgery / hospital / post -op for a year. 2k for Bliss insurance. I also had a hiatal Hernia and Gall Bladder removed along with my sleeve and this was included in the price. I had my surgery at the Cleveland Clinic and the care was awesome. I have no complaints and was worth evey penny. My husband had the same surgery and went through our insurance and the bill was 47K. I think I got a good deal.

UPDATE ON OCTOBER SLEEVERS WHERE ARE YOU
mccara replied to chris54's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on 10/25 HW 210 SW 200 CW 173 I haven't had any complications. I tolerate all foods. This is the best decision I could have made. Also 3 months smoke free on top of the weight loss -
I was sleeved on the 25th as well. I use a heating pad to dissipate the gas. It really helps with the pressure and pain.

Slim Fast Protein Drink
mccara replied to Jenny881's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I use the low carb ones in chocolate. They are good. -
I have my Sleeve surgery on 10/25, during my pre-op testing they noticed my gallbladder was slightly inflamed, but no stones. My surgeon opted to take it out while doing the sleeve. This was fine with me. I have heard from other sleevers that gallbladder issues are a common side effect of the sleeve. Sorry you had to go through this afte the fact.

I quit 10/1 - after 35 years of smoking. I did zyban along with nicotine patches. It worked. For the oral fixation i used lolipops for the first week. I still have trigger points when I get in my car, but I just ignore them and they go away. I really thought it would be harder than it is so far. My surgery date is 10/25, lets hope after that I won't need the patches or zyban.

Oct 25th for me. Can't wait
-
Hello, I just joined this forum. I will be having my gastric sleeve surgery on 10/25. My journey started in May with my first consultation with my Dr. I origianally went into the meeting thinking I wanted the Band, and came out convinced the sleeve is the way to go. I have had some mile stones along the way already: 10/1 - Quit smoking - I am a 35 year smoker, I really thought this was going to be harder than it is. I reallly don't miss the cigarettes, I am still fixing the oral fixation, but so far so good. I have started my liquid diet on 10/11 - this has been really tough, but I will power through it. I am anxiously awaiting 10/25 to roll around to start the rest of my life. Wish me luck, if you anyone has any tips to get through the pre-op diet, I would love to hear them.
