My surgery was 1/14 i lost 8pounds is this ideal for 1 week post op? My Doc say it was great, but at the same time it seems as if i could be down more....It feels good i haven't lost 8pds in more then 15yrs this is a mile stone for me...lol

I hear you! I'm still I'm full liquids and yesterday need something crunchy ...I had 3small peanuts chewed,chewed,chewed until there was no more chewing to do and all was well. I need my Protein in other forms.

Hello patienceshy, All is well with me, today was a good day! I'm not hungry all the time just worries about my liquid and Protein intake. The first 2days for me were kkthe worst but everyone is different. The first day after surgery I walk around made the gas pain go away . Believe me it helps! Yes, i had to drink the thick yellow syrupy liquid. Its taste terrible! But totally double. No leak,no complication and no serious problems.. THANK GOD!!! Advice for you don't read negative post the will scare you to death. Everyone is different. I can drink my protein, Water,broth,Jell-O and 1 scramble egg... also take chapstick or even better Vaseline, purchase a tongue scrapper for when you get home tongue get cooughted because of all the protein your taking use it every night it will prevent the severe halitosis (bad breath). Wish you the best of luck keep me poster ...maybe we can become sleeve buddies and workout together...lol

How is you process going? Ill be 1 week post op today and felling good.

I also suffer from severe psoriasis. I'm only a week post-op noticed that its has been getting better. My scalp isn't full clear but the hairline has improved after my surgery.

Today was my last visit for pre-op testing,medical review,blood work,chest X-ray and ekg. Surgery date is 1/14 Currently on my second week of liquid diet.Sometimes I am so hungry and just wanting to eat it all...I haven't given in to my headhunger ....so proud of myself! I'm on my way to a healthier me. This site given me so much motivation please continue tell you WLS stories and of course before and after pictures help... woohooo sleevers!!

I am so full of emotions happy,excited,nerves, anxious, proud of myself for finally doing something to change my future. Please keep me in your prayers...

Hello to all my January sleevers! My surgery was1/14 I just got home yesterday ....This surgery is no joke it is very painful each day is a working progress ....I am able to keep all my liquids down tea,broth,jello-o even my meds ...Thank God!! Today, I will be having my first Popsicle ...Walking around the house helps so I try to walk for 5-10min ...I would say the worst part is the pain after the surgery anf gas pain...Well good luck to everyone!

Hello Everyone, I am so excited and scared all in a bunch....After all the pre-op testing I just got a call from my Dr.office that I am approved for surgery on1/14.... God is Good!

Guys I really messed up today. I was at a family birthday party and gave in and I had a lot of food no carbs,just chicken, shrimp,a few crackers and one cup cake. This is the first time I eat lied this on my pre-op diet my surgery is Mon... I feel terrible!!
