Things you thought you'd miss but you don't?
greensleeve replied to Disabledaccount's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't miss soda. I'm doing enough burping already! I can't imagine. -
It's the little things.... Tell me yours! :)

Down 30 pounds, down a jean size, one pair of shoes is falling off my feet! Shirts fit better! When I lay on my side my ankles don't touch each other. -
OMG it's worse than cancer treatment?!?!?! I knew it was bad but damn.

Congratulations!!!! -
Is she over weight? I think if respond with like "I know how you feel, I was so happy for my friend getting pregnant but crushed to find out they did it in vitro." Or "I was so happy my friend recovered from cancer but then I was crushed to find out they got "the chemo".

10 Days With No Food. Lord!
greensleeve replied to yolicious1's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You can do it! Rest if you need to! Personally if I was hungry I just had another shake. I didn't limit myself and I lost ten pounds in two weeks. Bariatric Advantage Vitamins are great. It's thirty five bucks for a month worth and they have everything but the Calcium. Look into it, it's less pills to swallow. I was a crabby bitchy mess. The last two days was a weekend and I was holed up alone in our room in bed most of it. Hiding from food!!! You can do it! -
Something I don't see a lot of on here but is really bugging me. Maybe I should post elsewhere. Excuse me I'm in a protein haze and coming off an episode with smelling ham that made me have the equivalent of all the PMS I have ever had in my life at once. Trying to sum up....I'm talking to my therapist about how I kind if felt like I didn't exist to most men for a long time. Which felt good in a way but after my divorce, being out on the dating scene at 287 with stretch marks: I'm not sure how I even put myself out there. And I had a lot of doubt about whether my ex husband was still attracted to me after I had my daughter, and it's all carried over to now. Blah I'm not making sense. Carry on. Lol

Kelly I'm on my phone so I can't see if you have stats posted but what was your weight going into surgery? Five pounds in one week is great! Where are you in your menstrual cycle and are you having BMs? Those things factor in.

Anyone want to meet up in person? I posted on the other thread, we could go to like bread co and all order soup. And then only drink the broth. -
Hi! I had mine done by Dr Morales two weeks ago. He really is wonderful. And can I say easy on the eyes too. Ha. But seriously their whole team is wonderful and caring. I had a great experience. Does anyone want to meet up in person? Like we could go to a restaurant and all order soup and only eat the broth? I am needing in person support, I feel like an alien!

You look great! -
Pancake that seems like a lot of calories! Can you talk to your nutritionist? You shouldn't be hungry all day, something seems to be off.
-
How do you get insurance to pay for it? Did you have rashes?
-
Because it's gray there all the time?
-
Ha! Darwin! I know, I don't know why people don't call their surgeons. I think some people ask the same questions because they are just nervous and want to talk individually with others who have been through it instead of reading an old post.
-
Can I start a thread about how much I miss sex?
-
Did your insurance pay for the panni? Do you have FMLA or short term disability while you are off? What is a dog ear?
-
How about a trial by fire?

But but but it's my journey! I'm on a journey just like chicks on the Bachelor! I'm going somewhere, I'm on a train, this is my trip! At the end of this when I reach my goal I'm totally throwing a ring into a volcano.

Me too.

Just found out my surgery was moved up two hours which is wonderful because I was really not looking forward to having dry mouth for that long and hearing my stomach gurgle. I told my 9 year old today in a very generic way and she is ok with it. Thankfully! Usually she is clingy with me and a drama queen. Now I have to pack, take my before pictures, and take my measurements. My stomach is a mess! I feel kind of weepy and nostalgic and sad. I guess just saying good bye to my old life that I was comfortable with is hard even though I know the future is going to be so much better!

I went to the surgeon and my BP and my heart rate are finally normal. Also my surgeon is very handsome. Glad I didn't notice this earlier but don't know how I did. He saw me naked. Lol.
-
I lost another pound! I put on a T short I bought when I was about 8 pounds lighter than this. It looks great! I stopped wearing it because of my fat rolls. My stomach looks so much better.

I hardly lost any weight the last two days. But all today I keep feeling areas of my body that feel much thinner. Maybe I'm just now catching up but I swear I feel like I lost five pounds in two days.
