I lost about 20lbs the first month - you are doing really well!
-
In my experience after surgery, my periods went the exact opposite way - I had them more or less continuously for two months!
-
I was on citalopram when I had my surgery (still am..) - they managed to get a liquid form of that and also everything else I was on apart from the pill, which I just stopped taking for a while.. its amazing what is out there - with Prozac being such a big name, I would imagine they have a liquid form of it available out there.

The burping is just part of the course - and I'm over 2 years out and still burp - not constantly like I did at the start tho - but after each meal. I take it that its saying I've had enough - others say that its when you have eaten too quickly.... its the gurgling that your tum and throat makes that takes some getting used to... I think Monday might be cutting it a bit fine - perhaps aim for Wednesday.. or see how you feel when Monday comes along...

I'm 57, 9 weeks out, 47 lost. I'm so glad to be losing but am not looking forward to what is going to continue happen to my skin. My boobs are deflating, my tummy droops, my thighs are squishy, my arms sag, and worst of all, I am getting a turkey neck. I am working out with a trainer so maybe in time it will help. But if not, it's for sure better than being disabled by obesity.
I agree with the Kimpossible - try not to worry about the turkey neck - I had that too, but about 6 months ago (I'm 2 years out) it started to go and not noticeable at all now. I massage throat cream in to it each night - not sure if that helped or not.. but try not to be too concerned x

Hi,
I wasn't on a liquid diet, I was put on a Protein sparing diet - basically a very low carb diet - and had a ham salad the night before my op in the hospital! I did however have a drain.
I'm in UK, so not sure if things are different here, but they shouldn't really be that different.

I'm over two years out and still get this daily - so guessing its just part of our new sleeve...
-
I felt the 'lump' when I was lying on my tummy - in fact it made it very difficult to lie that way. I'd advise you go and get it looked at when you can.
-
I'm 25 months out and I still have a hard time believing its me that I am buying clothes for in these smaller sizes - but at the same time I have trouble remembering just what I looked like before - or more to the point - just how big I actually had been.
-
Yes, the hernia itself is resolved - I'm hoping too that it doesn't recur.
-
Glad to hear that things are going so great - and congratulations on the loss - that's terrific!
-
My surgery didn't go so great - the wound its left looks terrible as its just where I have some loose skin and I had an infection in the wound afterwards so left with a hard lump anyway.
Bright side is, I was told this last week that if I lose a bit more weight the surgeon is going to put me forward for skin surgery - which will improve the look of it.
The healing itself wasn't so bad but I had major trouble getting out of bed, and even out of the chair for a few weeks - needed my kids to help me with that. Good luck with yours - hope it goes better than mine did

I'm in the same boat - I've put on 6lbs in the past month - and I've had the surgery - I'm over 2 years out Stress - eating has always been my go to also... and with all the Halloween goodies and the Christmas sweets about to appear - this isn't good... i'm a crafter - going to try and work on my knitting and take my stress and also boredom... hope you find something to help you too
-
I've lost two sizes on my feet since losing weight - and i'm not at goal yet.. doubt they will get any smaller though as they are smaller now than when I got married at age 18 and I was 30lbs lighter then than I am now!
-
I'm sorry but I think your wife is being inconsiderate and should be supporting you more and your decision. Hang in there!
-
I'm 2 years out and not had pizza - too scared of the feeling it would give - closest I have came is to skim the topping off and had that.
-
Well done, you are looking great!
-
I need to stay away from spicy foods and some fruits hurt too.
-
Not too bad thanks. I got sleeved Oct 2012 in Aberdeen. I did have a hernia develop on one of the openings that they used to do the op, but its more or less sorted now - it just doesn't look too great because of the lose skin I have in that area - but fine when I'm lying flat
How are you doing? Have you been sleeved yet? Where will you be getting it done?
-
Hi, I'm in Aberdeenshire. Past the age of having babies though (45)

You haven't and aren't failing - this is just a small blip. You will and can succeed and get past this. Tomorrow is a new day remember...
When did your hair loss start?

In my experience, it starts at about 3 months out... Good luck - are you taking any supplements? Biotin is a good one to take, the strength in my nails has increased tenfold and I firmly believe that this is the reason that although I've lost some hair, it isn't so bad as it could have been My hairdresser said that there was quite a lot of new growth happening.
