I'm a diabetic, and yes it does sound very much like how I get when I am having a hypo - I think you should go and get checked out for this as its not good to let it go on. Also buy yourself some dextrose tablets and take 3 or 4 of those when you are feeling like this - if it makes you feel better quickly, you will also have your answer... Take care. this isn't something to be ignored.

Colon/gallbladder/liver cleanse with pills
able2cope posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Has anyone done a colon cleanse post op? or gallbladder/liver - the kind that you do with pills (detoxing?) I'm 2.5 years out and considering if it would be a good option for me right now. I've been stalled for about a year and really want to lose more weight. Figuring this might be a good way to start it flowing again. -
Biotin how much are you taking
able2cope replied to mishelcrz88's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Sorry to hear this robinswls. I've been on Biotin for about 2.5 years and had no issues with spots at all - just stronger nails and although my hair has fallen out somewhat, I've had quite a lot of re-growth which I don't think I would have had quite so much of without the biotin. Just for the nail strengthening alone though I would be still taking the biotin. Maybe its inter reacting with something else you are on? Were there any other common factors with the girls on YouTube? Glad its stopped now though - Our bodies are certainly going through enough without that... -
Hours between doses
able2cope replied to roundisashape's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I'm interested in this too. I always take my multi vitamin with iron, and biotin etc in the morning and try to always remember to take calcium and vit d in the evening, but I'm actually prescribed for two calcium tabs and although I usually take them together, I do think I'm probably doing it wrong and should take at another time, but always forget so figure take them both in the evening rather than missing one... -

I've been taking 2 x 10,000mcg for a couple years now - get mine off of Amazon and the price is pretty good. -
I've just weighed myself and I've put on 12lbs in the past 4 weeks! Part of the reason will be that 4 weeks ago I had shoulder surgery and have been off work since, so a lot less active - the other reason ofcourse will be all the goodies that I have surrounded myself with thinking that I was too strong of mind to be tempted.. and I had a bit of the 'i'm thin and can eat anything' mentality.... oh how wrong I've been. Tomorrow I'm starting back on the Protein shakes - not sure at this moment if I will just have the Protein Shakes or if I should have some sort of meat product for a main meal.. either chicken or beef. Any thoughts or ideas out there? I take my Vitamins and supplements daily, so no chance of me not getting those in and I drink plenty fluids too - although not plain Water, its water with crystal light which I realise isn't ideal, but its the only way I get my fluids in. I couldn't drink plain water unless its ice cold.

Anyone on here post op 2.5 years?
able2cope replied to carriecat's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi, I had surgery Oct 2012 and have lost about 110lbs. I still need to lose about 30lbs to be to my own personal goal - one where I will be viable for skin surgery. I had shoulder surgery too, just a month ago and have put on 12lbs since that time! On Monday of this week I started cutting out all the junk that I've been eating over Christmas - I'm not totally low carb as I am diabetic and often feel like I get hypos when I don't have any carbs.. but I'm doing better. Trying not to weigh myself as I can easily get hung up on the numbers, if you know what I mean. Just want to feel better within myself. I'm thinking that I might have stretched my stomach a bit too, but hoping that if I have more liquid Protein meals that that will help some to get some of the restriction back. Maybe you should consider going back to your surgeon and getting some pointers from him? he may surprise you! -
Thanks Guys, I got my son to pull out my remaining RTD Protein shakes out of the cupboard so they are on the worktop and not out of sight anymore! I 'know' I can do this - I just need to get my all in to it. My daughter has a treadmill and said I can go on that, so that's going to be my exercise sorted. Wish me luck!!

Great news! I still get a thrill when I realise that I can buy stuff from the 'normal' rack - I've still got about 20lbs to go.. I'm a uk16 - maybe a US12 I think? What a great way for you to start the year.

celebrex for for rheumatoid arthritis and the weight loss surgery
able2cope replied to boosh10's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi, Yes, I have RA in my knee joints - also I have merlagia paresthetica in my legs which gives me a lot of pain when I don't take my meds. Have had this for a few years. 3 days will hopefully be manageable for you. Try not to think about it too much, or it might play on your mind and you will be more aware of niggles than you otherwise would be. I wish you well with your surgery - you won't regret it! -
celebrex for for rheumatoid arthritis and the weight loss surgery
able2cope replied to boosh10's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hi, I've been taking celebrex since a year prior to surgery and apart from a couple days just after surgery when I couldn't take the pills, I've been on two per day with no ulcers. realise your fears, but I weighed up the pain that I know I am in - almost can't walk... to the small risk of ulcers.. and I take the pills. I'm over two years out now.. -
Great News! that's awesome - you will now begin to love clothes shopping

Hi, I got sleeved Oct 2012 - and I too have been around many bugs , including colds and flu and haven't caught anything - I did have a bit of the runs a couple weeks ago but I think that was because I'd overdone the laxitives as I was the other way. I put it down to all the Vitamins and supplements too...
