    Nasty burping?

The eggy burps differ from the normal burping i get nowadays on occassion.. when im approaching full. I didnt get the go ahead but as it only required one dose to sort the problem i figured it was worth trying. Nothing else worked and believe me i tried lots..

    Responsibility

    Thanks for sharing this.
  4. I'm in the same situ as you. although I'm 3.5 years out - I was the same weight for 2 years, but in the past 4 to 6 months I've put on about 12lbs... which is not good! Just can't get back on track and have the cravings too - I know there's something like a 5day pouch test... where you go back to liquids for so long, then soft etc.... someone else will likely know better - I've thought about doing this, but there never seems to be a 'right' time - perhaps I should just get my head down and get it done. Good luck... whereabouts are you located? I'm in Scotland UK.

    Anti anxiety meds

A great response, and very interesting - thanks for sharing your knowledge. Much appreciated.

    Anti anxiety meds

I'm on escitalopram, and I don't think I've experienced any adverse effects... I know that weight loss is a priority, but to me, the anxiety is a higher one... so worth it if there were any effects.

    I hate my neck

Don't lose heart - I had a turkey neck thing going on for a few months after I lost the bulk of my weight - now, 3 years out - well I'd say 1.5 years ago - my neck has been 'normal' - I'm 46, so expect a bit of slackness I guess, but its fine now - well done on losing

    Shoes!

I've never been a high heel person.. I do think that my weight previously put me off them... now that I'm down a bit, I think I'm just too old to start wearing them - (I'm 46)

    Developed hypoglycemia

Sorry you are going through this - I get hypos quite regularly, but am diabetic - although off all meds now. I had the sleeve 3 years ago now - I would have thought things would have evened themselves out, but as you say, we eat so little now, it isn't surprising really.

    Old habits creeping back in!

I'm three years out now, and have found I'm going back to old habits too. Having diabetes doesn't help either, as I find I have to 'top up' now and then, just to stop myself having low blood sugars... I'm also enjoying seeing the different strategies people use.
  12. Oh now that looks so good. Wish we could get it over here in the UK

    Flu Shot

I get called into the doctors surgery to get one every year - I do have diabetes too though.
  14. Sorry, I read it as lbs, not Kgs... No, I agree - diet pills are not the way to go... I'm 3 years out today and have put on 14lbs since my lowest weight - I'm not a happy cookie with this either. Trying to get back onto a good (no bad snacking) plan
  15. Seems to me you are a perfect weight. Never heard of duromine

Quest Bars - Soluble Corn Fiber

It is. I found a press release about it in my searching last week. But now I can't find it again. It started with any NEW flavors they were making (the first was S'mores), but now they are going back and converting all the old flavors. Well thats a downer for sure

Quest Bars - Soluble Corn Fiber

Does anyone know if this is going to be used in all the flavours?

Quest Bars - Soluble Corn Fiber

I love quest apple pie bars - I'm in the uk though, so can only buy through ebay or more usually amazon... the ones I get don't seem to have moved over to the new ingredients, but its definetly something I'm going to have to look out for - thanks for the heads up.
  19. I've not been told that my Protein levels have been too high - but I have had too much protein in my kidneys - perhaps its the same thing? Anyway, I was given ramirpril to counteract this... I spoke to my dietician, and told her about the protein in kidneys - she did say to back off the high protein diet and go more for a 'healthy' diet.... I am further out than you - thats almost 3 years for me now.

    Unsupportive partner

Is he scared that once you start to lose weight, you won't need him or want to be with him anymore? Sounds like he just wants to bring you down and for things to stay the way they are. So sorry you are going thru this. Surgery can be hard enough, without any complications coming from those that are around you x

    Birth control pill

I've been on the mini pill since surgery - no pregnancy - but then I am 46... but no one told me that I wasn't supposed to be taking it... had no issues.
