Yeah I personally waited a couple of months and even then it was a few kernels.

Would you do it again?
Alamoloser replied to Kaila312's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Absolutely, I only wish I would have worked harder dropping more pre-op weight though... -
Drink and drink more liquids and that feeling will go away. A lot of it is probably head hunger because your stomach couldn't handle anything other than liquid right now anyway.

Regret even after initial "omg, what have I done?"

Its early right now for you, when you start having that heavy, depressing, weight lifted off of you over the course of the next few weeks, you won't even be thinking of the skins or any food like that. Its amazing and I admit I felt the same way 1 week post-op. -

I noticed my arms yesterday in the mirror and was depressed. I need to start lifting weights and tone it up since Spring is on its way. -
9 lbs. gone in my first week. Good, bad, or average?
Alamoloser replied to bcorder82's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Its a very good start, keep it up and remember your hydration. -
Try drinking something or sugar free popsicles.
-

Im in your same boat, sleeved on Oct. 15th and barely eat anything but feel fine. Dr. said it was ok and hydration and vitamins were important. So far 95lbs down....

Before and after pic!

You look fantastic! -
Stay away from the chlorine for a month or so, go easy for the first 2 or 3 weeks even though you may feel like taking on the world. Remember, your sleeve isn't going anywhere so make this a lifelong journey. Besides, let your insides heal a bit before your bouncing around and stressing your body out.

First sleeved Xmas here too, went a little overboard on the dessert but tomorrow's a new day to make it up. Enjoy these days, they don't come along often....

Thinking about doing the surgery!

Been overweight my whole life too (of course its a little different for guys cause you can play football and then its accepted to be that big). As annoying as this may sound, the risk of complications out weighs what you may be feelings at your young age. -
Wow! what a wonderful gift your giving yourselves. The gift that will keep on giving year round! I promise your next Christmas will be your best.

Scared of failure...
Alamoloser replied to UTGal99's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Don't think of it as a race (I know, harder said than done) but your fortunate to have somebody by your side going thru this with you. Look at the benefits of your journey together rather than a competition. I think a lot of us would like for our better halves to understand what we feel like somedays and not have to explain why we aren't hungry. -
Amazing job!!

still forgetting to wait
Alamoloser replied to A Sleeve4me's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm guilty myself, almost 3 months here and still eat too fast and take big bites. I haven't thrown up but I can feel it at the top of my chest. -
Hold off on the sweets as long as you can, you may want it but try and quench that urge with fruit if anything.
-
Is it the bariatric vitamin brand there selling? You should be ok with the Flintstones like myself, just make sure your getting your extra iron, calcium and B12 in too.

Don't be a slave to the scale, this is a lifelong journey so why start counting land markers now.
