She didn't come here to seek advice, but to see if anyone had experience anything similar to what she is going through. Nor did she come here to get attacked by people like you! Have you ever heard the saying, " if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." You should definitely start practicing that... Like yesterday. Get a life and target your negative energy to being a productive citizen.

hhmmm you could say that I am being defensive by responding and I would state that I am just offering my opinion...looking at things from a different perspective. I don't offend easily...as I am one of those people who could care less what anyone thinks of me whether it is positive or negative. I don't seek out others for validation of myself. However, I am very much aware that many people in society do. And IMO... just because to that person they are "tellin it like it is" does not make whatever comment any less rude...a little decorum is necessary.

Personally, I do not think that there is anything wrong with being honest. But what is honesty? Something that an individual believes to be correct based on their outlook or knowledge. The problem is that some people do not know how to be tactful and respectful in getting their opinions across...their is such a thing as internet etiquette. As far as people needing to seek friends else where...that can be true but then again how many of your friends can relate to the weightloss journey that you are on or about to embark on...I don't have any. Everyone does things for a different reason, and I cannot knock them because I do not agree with it...but I can express myself and get my opinion across in a non-hostile manner.

I emailed my coordinator and sent her what I wanted the note to say. She then emailed me the note on his letterhead with a signature. Dr. Garcia is my surgeon as well.

Eating more than 4 oz of liquid is not going to make someone gain more than 20 pds. So I don't really think that's the answer to her dilemma. Something isn't right here and the doc is suspect. Who would tell a patient 7 weeks out that they stretched their stomach?? Especially since more than half that time your stomach is swollen and healing. You are doing right... Continue to gather all your documents and seek someone else out. I pray that everything works out for you.

Lol... I think that's the response i get when I tell someone I am going to MX... Lol I know I know... Well at least he's not performing my procedure in his nasty garage, I payed for the couch hey hey. Only kidding. Yes, I have researched those things. Statistical information is great, but customer testimonies are way better. I am using a Doctor that many people on this forum uses, the hospital is small but surpasses that of a US hospital ( so ppl say), he does countless procedures and is certified to do so ( no black market), also the hotel I will be staying in when I get released from the hospital is a Marriott...

Jealousy is a horrible thing and it is unfortunate that we reside in a society where that trait shows in many places. Family members, best friends, strangers, and even spouses. Spotting them are easy as they will try to devalue your surgery and weightloss success. Remember that they talked about Jesus... So people will talk about you... No matter what you do.

I keep trying to calm my mind, but I can't. I think part of the reason is that I have always been bigger than others and eventually I found myself being obese. So to have this surgery which will help me get this weight off and become a normal weight again is mind boggling. But I am excited to start this next chapter of my life.

I have a weird sleeping pattern. I am a self pay and will be having surgery this coming Monday... I am excited! But it's hard to believe that this is about to happen. I keep thinking that something will happen, preventing me if having surgery.

Yay! The time is steadily approaching! I will be there this coming Sunday...I am soooooo ready for my sleeve!

My passport card will not arrive on time, so I will just be using my birth certificate and ID.

My insurance isn't paying for mine, but I am still very thankful to be able to have mine in a couple of weeks.
