You are right! I sure cannot wait! my primary insurance denied it which I knew they would. My doctor told me I would be off for about two weeks but I was going to ask for four. They say it depends on the work type. I have an office job so only two weeks :-( I would apprecite the four lol

Mine should be mid to end of November. Insurance company required clearance from cardiologist (appt is 11/01) and from pulmonologist (appt is 11/05) so as soon as the insurance has that I will be scheduled!! :-)

Thanks needa sleeve and iggy! I called and they said it was covered but I didn't ask what the requirements were as far as diet, weight history, etc! So I called again and he said it varies. And this was my customer service number also. So I figured id give it a shot on here, as there are so many veterans. :-) I have done the psych eval, the nutritionist visit, and the ketosis diet and now I'm just waiting to hear back from the insurance. :-(

Oh goodness! I wonder if it is like that with mine?! I didn't look into all of tw requirements. I know this sounds silly to be honest w u but I didn't realize I would have to do the diet etc. where did you find this info? For your benefits site?

I have PPO. I don't know what you mean when you ask group? Explain please and I will try to help as best as I can... So ur in the middle of the diet and they won't let you meet w the surgeon? I did all of the pre appts with the psych and he nutritionist and ketosis diet and my info was submitted to my primary insurance who denie it as I knew they would and now I am waiting approval from BCBS OF IL which seem to cover everything just wasn't sure about the diet because I have heard mixed info. :-(

Hello All, So my info was submitted to the insurance on Monday and the doctor said that they are needing five years of height and weight information from the doctors. I have BCBS which I have heard usually is an easy approval. I have called my primary care and my ob dr for info and they don't have too much, but they have it about three years back (husband was military moved around a lot prior to that). So the dr said to have this sent over and they will resubmit. Just wondering if this has happened to you all? OBVIOUSLY this has happened with needing extra info with all the hoops that have to be kumped through for approval, but I mean not enough history of height and weight? Any info would be appreciated and I will also let you all know why happens!!! :-)

Hey there!!! I have BCBS of IL. My doc submitted my paperwork to them on Monday right after my appt and was told on Wed that they need five years of weight history. I'm a little upset because I went through all of the testings and I don't have a lot of weight history as my husband was military and I wasn't seen regularly. And when I did go to my prime dr they didn't record my weight so idk if they will deny it. :-( But if it only took them two days for a response for me, I'd imagine they are quick!
