Why Is Meat Making Me Sick?

My aunt couldn't eat meat without throwing up for 2 years, now she can eat it without any problem. But she had the RnY, so not sure if that would make a difference or not.

Pcp Scared The Crap Outta Me

Don't be surprised if you need to find a new PCP following your surgery. I've heard of alot of PCPs not wanting to treat patients that have had WLS because they are afraid of malpractice if they prescribe something you're not allowed to have. Alot of Dr's just aren't educated in it if it's not in their field. Good luck though!

    Surgery Today

Good luck and I hope you have a quick recovery. Hope those arms don't look like pincushions
  19. I don't keep mine a secret either. I know there are alot of people that think it's an easy way out, but I know many people that have had it and it's not easy. You have to work just as hard as you did before hand, but that portion control is key and that's why I'm getting it done. If people want to judge me, that's their problem. Hope I have as much success as you did. Thanks for your honesty and support of others.
  20. I've been told it's better to exercise in the morning because then your metabolism gets a kick start for the rest of the day, and that's coming from a physical therapist.Or just do 10-minute spurts throughout the day. I even do some at work at my desk, and nobody knows I'm doing them.
  21. From what I've read you will have hair loss for about a 3 week period, starting at the 3rd month post-op. But then it grows back fine. I wouldn't give up being healthy for years over a 3 week hair loss. My aunt wears different wigs all the time; she changes them depending on her mood and wardrobe for the day. It's kind of fun for her. Good luck with whatever you decide.

    Well, It Didn't Happen....

I'm sorry you have to wait for your sleeve now, but at least you're okay. I've had my gallbladder out, it wasn't bad at all. Just be aware that you might get the poops with certain foods, oily foods especially.
