That will be the last time you need to do that!!! One step at a time!! It does get better. But ...I still am having problems getting sick at times. I know it won't last forever. Some days I can eat eggs, and others not. I may eat something one day and I do fine and the next time, I have problems. Getting better at judging when to stop. It's a learning experience for sure!!!

Same thing. I ate egg white from hard boiled eggs yesterday and got sick. Today I ate 1 scrambled egg and it was fine. I love coffee and some days the decaf goes down well, and other days I can't stand it. Not sure why though!!!

Didn't realize ICU. Hope you are out soon!!!

I had 2 weeks liquids before and 3 weeks afterwards but you only have to do that 1 time!!! Then soft proteins. I'm at 10 weeks, and the liquids are getting to me!!! I get busy and don't think about drinking water, etc. Anyway, I'm trying. Have lost 38 pounds as of last week, but haven't been near a scale this week so will see when I find one. You can do this!!

I'm at 7 weeks out and still on soft proteins....no breads, salads, pasta, potatoes, etc. Eggs still cause me problems. Can eat small amounts of Wendy's chili, just had some spaghetti sauce with 93% lean ground sirloin. Doing ok with it so far.

I'm at 7 weeks on Monday, but I am on soft proteins until week 8. Have had chili made with gr. sirloin, and tonight had some sloppy joe meat and did well. Can't stand eggs at this point, even though I like them before. Not sure why but I'll wait a few days and try again. Still struggling getting all the liquids in.

Almost 4 weeks out and I threw up bean soup (forgot there was some ham in it) and this morning my egg beaters with cheese. Think the cheese was too globby. Anyway, finally keeping protein drink down so will try food again in a little while. Discouraged!

low fat soups, adding skim milk, but confused on the amount of protein. I fix the whole can and then divide it into servings. Should I be doing it that way.

I ate only some meatballs and not any of the spaghetti, and still got sick. Ugh. The next day, I threw out the extra ones I had planned for another meal. That is really hard for me to do after so many years of cleaning my plate.......But down 43 pounds so I have to keep watching portion sizes!!! 13 weeks out.
