  1. We did a second 5K this morning, a Color Run where they throw powdered paint on you at 4 stations during your walk, and then you can do it at the end. Anyway, I'm hurting now as I ran at the beginning and the end, but walked rest of it. Did it in a little more than an hour. Really pleased with the progress!! My surgery was in Nov. and I'm now 66. Yaa HOO!!!

  2. Doc and nut were more interested in Protein, amount of sugar, and fat. I track my exercise, food, and water in myfitnesspal.com. At 3 months, they upped my amount of protein. In August, I have my 9 month checkup. I've lost 75.5 pounds since the end of October. Surgery Nov. 12th. I'm 66 so I lose at a slower weight and I enjoy water aerobics, but hate the walking because of the arthritis in my feet. Still walking my second 5 K in a couple of weeks. Hope that helps. Carol

  3. I actually had my stomach growl last week......My surgery was Nov. 12, 2012. I still have problems getting some food down, but one night I just wanted to eat and eat. I just made sure that I was eating protein and veggies. When I want something to crunch on, I eat dill pickles. My PA had me increase the amount of protein I was eating instead of being at 60 grams.

    Good luck with this...

  4. I was told I can drink decaf coffee but not the caffeinated until I had all 64 ounces in. I heat some skim or 1/2% milk and add it to it, sometimes some unsweetened cocoa or choc. protein after it has cooled some so it doesn't curdle. I like Propel but not the crystal light any more as it's too sweet. There is Proti -diet protein that can be added to water (15 gr) but I have to double the water that I use it in. Maybe that will help!! You can do this and don't give up!!!!

  5. Shrimp goes down well if you like shellfish, I could do tuna if I mixed a little mayo with olive oil which the nut said we could use. I couldn't keep turkey down. White chili made with chicken is good, chili from Wendy's because the ground meat had been cooked for quite awhile. Good luck!! Oh, nonfat refried beans spread on a plate, salsa, 2% cheese and then non fat Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. I even eat that for breakfast sometimes.

  6. If you like the Quest bars I'll send mine to you. I didn't like them. At my 3 month checkup the PA told me to up my protein by having a protein shake each day....now 70-80 a day instead of 60 and make sure and get my water in. I keep a bar in my purse at all times (Pure Protein) and will have one as a snack or meal if I need one when I'm away from the house. Liquids is the hardest for me.
