Help! I've slid back into old habits
carstanger replied to Jamie54's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
You can do this!! I am almost 18 months out and started to eat candy around Easter. I have gone back to tracking my food, keeping track of my liquids, and Protein, etc. I had female surgery 3 weeks ago, so have can't do a lot of exercise. I have been tracking for several weeks, tracked the candy even, and now am back to a pound below my lowest weight. I started at 225.5, goal weight was hit in December, and am now at 121.8. I weigh every day and really clamp down on my habits when I get near 125.00. You might also talk to your nutritionist as it helped me with how to add some good carbs and not lose muscle mass. We are hear for you. There is a veteran's thread on this site that you might want to check out too. Carol -

My pressure was 19 and had been using the bipap for several years but wasn't falling asleep driving! Did the home oxygen test after I lost over 100 pounds, but still need it as my oxygen goes too low!! -
make sure you sip! I has to set a timer on my phone to remember to drink! I tracked. Water, shakes, and walking!! It really helped me. Then I switched to myfitnesspal.com and tracked there for over a year. Mi stopped and have now restarted tracking!

You can do this! I'm 17 months out and now 67. I can do so much more. I walked 2 different 5 k's and cut time together ! I like water aerobics better!! The doctor has dropped my meds for high blood pressure and cholesterol and the supplements. I started at 225.5 and am now 122.8. The biggest difference is clothes.. I'm proud of what I have accomplished! It is not easy but one day at a time!!! Keep in touch!!

Yesterday I had a candy binge!! Not sure what that was about as I've never had one in 17 months. I tracked all of it though. Today, I'm back on track!! ????

I need to be free from my cpap
carstanger replied to Diva2Be's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I'm 16 months out and still use the bipap. Took the home oxygen test at home. It was still dropping too low. Just had a vaginal lift surgery and used it in the hospital! Dr said he has kids and skinny people that need it! Disappointed but I feel better with it! -
My brother just had to get his at the the pharmacy!

You look great to me! My issue is that I am below goal and my skin is so jiggly! I'm 67 and don't want plastics. Just had internal surgery 1 1/2 weeks ago and can't exercise yet! Wonder if I am losing muscle mass.
-
Thanks for the laugh! Glad you are better! I'm on my second summer wardrobe. Kept some of the tops from the first though!! Kohl's, younkers, and Bealls have my money!!
-
I had mine done by Dr. Gluck in Nov.or 2012. Practice sipping as that was the hardest thing for me to remember....Excited for you!!! Just take it one day at a time, when you come home. Walk and sip.... I ate protein pudding too fast the first week when had it. Not a good feeling!! Remember you can do this was my motto!!! My daughter told me that if I did the preop and post op liquids and followed the rules, I would only have to do this once!! Good luck and keep in touch!!

Discouraged with "planning" meals
carstanger replied to SlowlybutSurely's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Like the idea of the mason jars...Never thought of that. I'm 16 months out and still looking for ideas. My husband doesn't eat the same as me, so get sick of leftovers!!
