Had mine a couple weeks before surgery . Not a help.

My husband has cookies in the refrig and I find candy wrappers in weird places. A couple of days ago he ate my turkey burgers. He did replace the turkey though when he shopped yesterday! Married 43,years so we both are adjusting! Not the only one!!

Will have to copy this and try it. I like the fat free refried beans 1/4 cup spread on small plate, ground sirloin with seasonings, about an ounce, 2 T. non fat greek yogart, and a sprinkle of 2% Mexican cheese. Heat in micro. Adjust to your liking. I don't like greek yogart but can eat it this way to add protein.

I ate only some meatballs and not any of the spaghetti, and still got sick. Ugh. The next day, I threw out the extra ones I had planned for another meal. That is really hard for me to do after so many years of cleaning my plate.......But down 43 pounds so I have to keep watching portion sizes!!! 13 weeks out.

I'm 13 weeks out and still have problems with some food. Didn't know that my gall bladder was filled with stones and not bile, or I even had a hiatal hernia. I had been taking meds for reflux and had a gall bladder attack in 2005 but then was fine. The doctor was going to use a mesh but he was afraid of infection. I feel so much better, so I must have been a mess before and didn't really realize it. Good luck with your food. I sometimes eat too fast...It gets stuck, I slime and then get sick. Yuck!!! It's better though!

Make sure you are getting in the protein the doc and nut say you need, as well as the liquids. Practice sipping. I had problems with all the liquids and forgetting to drink and especially sip. It will really help afterwards!!!

I had 2 weeks before and 3 weeks after ! Kept telling myself it is the only time I had to do this!!! Made it easier afyerwards!!

They found a hiatal hernia when mine was done.

I set the alarm on my phone for 15 minutes and did my half a medicine cup of water the whole time I was awake. Kept doing it over and over. Now I prefer water out of a bottle rather than a large container!l Looks like too much!

Congrats to the Feb sleevers. I said I'd never do this and so glad I did. Almost 9 weeks out and now 66 years old. I remember the first time I walked after surgery and my daughter was telling me to open my eyes and not try to walk with them closed.loys of hurdles but you will be do proud of what you have accomplished !!

What did the doctor day?

I almost 9 weeks out and I still sometimes get that stuck feeling and get sick! Have to take small bites. Ordered 2 eggs scrambled , only ate about 1 and a half. Got the stuck feeling but kept it down. Don't seem to have a problem with egg beaters though home but many times eggs.

I have chewable vitamins but my pills had to be taken 1 at a time , at least 15 minutes apart.

Before surgery, I would sweat and my hair would be soaking wet if I had anything joy to drink. Now I'm cold and have to wear docks to bed and no sweating with hot coffee.

I was 65 when I had mine done in Nov and Michigan would not cover the sleeve. Would have covered the gastric bypass but I wouldn't have that done. So.., I was self pay.

Make sure you keep something from the size that you are wearing when you start your journey so you have it for comparison later!!! My daughter did that when she had her sleeve and it was amazing!!!

I'm on Lexapro and Busphar. Also Ativan if needed. I didn't have to stop any of them before or after. I just had to take 1 pill at a time, 15 minutes apart at the beginning after the surgery. They are smaller than the omeprazole capsule I take for the stomach before eating. Every doctor is different.

I didn't have to stop them before or after surgery. Had to stop Celebrex before and now, and off many meds, but not those! Want to know about the bipap machine.
