Thanks for sharing the story! That had to be hard to do and I admire you! Are there women's shelters that you can go to to keep your son and yourself safe??? That is important. I'll also keep reading! Wish I knew how to help!! -
My 5k is Sat. Disappointed that I will be walking it instead of running but, it's more than I've ever done before. Walked a 19 minute mile outside yesterday which is good for me. Hope to do the 5k in an hour but will see. Nervous but excited!!! Our son in law hurt his calf so won't be running or walking this time.

My daughter who also had the sleeve told me it was my safety and health. Also, I only had to do it once if I did it right!! Good luck with your surgery! You can do this!!! -
Trying to get my motivation again to be ready for the 5K walk on Saturday. Walked a lot at Disney as 2 of my grandkids were in their school choir that sang Friday at Downtown Disney. Hip is bothering me so will get an adjustment after we get back to Michigan. Missed a week of exercising when we were getting ready for my mom's funeral and we were driving back and forth most days. Anyway, heading back to Michigan starting tomorrow.

I live in Jackson, but had my surgery in Muskegon as my daughter's surgeon was there. Good luck with your revision. I'm so glad I have my sleeve!!!

I was sleeved Nov 12th and went on vacation Dec. 30th. A little longer than you but I felt great. It was time for me to take care of myself!! -
I hated the Quest bars early on but haven't tried them lately (6 mon out). I like the Pure Protein, choc and peanut butter, and the Proti diet ones. Tried an Atkins and it was good but not as much protein.

How long did you use the bipap or cpap machine after surgery?? Were you able to go off it completely? When did you have your sleep study done. I am almost 6 months out and have lost 60 pounds. Have 35 more to go. I have been using it for about 9 years. Thanks! Carol

Try to get your 60 protein per day or what ever your own doctor recommends and the 64 ounces of water. I was swollen from the surgery, so actually gained weight at first. Caro -

Ask your doctor about it. I took 1 pill at a time waiting 15 minutes at a time but to be honest, I don't know when I was able to start it. -

Changed to walking the 5K in May instead of running. 2.2 miles yesterday with the running group so...Have to practice going fast. My Mom passed away this morning, so I'm going to have to watch myself this next week...Then vacation before the race !!!

I was trying to train for running it but because of my knee replacement2,years ago, I have to walk it. My 5k is also on the same date but I will be walking it as fast as I can!!!

Ok! My husband thinks I'm crazy when I'm chuckling on some of the posts. The movie 42 was great! I drank my decaf tea with berry crystal lite and ate my protein bar. I really had to"pee" by the end of the movie though !!!

Told I can't run because of knee replacement. My husband and I walked while others ran. Walked 2.2 miles. Longest distance! I know now I can do the 5k walk and finish it!!!

I had hiatal hernia repaired, gall bladder removed, scar tissue removed along with my sleeve. He didn't bill for the sleeve so most of the hospital was covered.
