    BIG FAT PEOPLE!

I learned to eat lunch quickly after teaching and trying to get 28 2nd graders quiet enough to go to lunch which was 25 min by the end of my career. If I wait too long and eat too fast, I still get sick. I but the eggs and don't fix them as I've been sick too many times. Can only eat half a burger.. If it is the ground sirloin. Still working on not drinking when eating as I love my coffee..

    BIG FAT PEOPLE!

I have to fix the Barilla plus pasta for me and the kind he'll eat. Eats meat, potatoes, and no fruits and vegetables. Throw away food because I buy the fresh and can't eat all of it. Guess I'll go to frozen instead and just make what I can eat.

    BIG FAT PEOPLE!

Hi! I have the peanut butter quest bars and I hate them. Anyone can have them. I'll mail them to you. Just message me with the address. Wait..I'd better check them for expiration date. 9/20/13 Have 8 left. I still have protein shake or bar every day as I'm on higher protein, even though I'm almost 8 months out. Going down, but slow.

    BIG FAT PEOPLE!

Hi! I'm a food addict and trying to control that. Before, if I hadn't eaten, I probably would have been an alcoholic.....Chose food over booze. Now I'm trying to deal with that as I've added back more foods, but....have to be really careful. Luckily, I can't eat alot. Good luck everyone!!!

    Cruise dining

I went on an Alaskan cruise before I had my surgery and lost weight as there was more Protein, fruits and veggies and I didn't have to prepare food. I'm sure they will do smaller plates for you. We ate Breakfast from the buffet as well as lunch so I could sample more things and determine my own servings. I sure didn't starve!! Not sure if that is a help, but some ideas.

Let's Check In November 2012 Sleevers!

I am 5 foot 2 inches and 66 years old. I do water aerobics 3 times a week and try and walk in between....but have a 5 K in 2 weeks so have to get out walking. Anyway, my surgeon set my weight based on BMI (I think). Will see when I go for my 9 month check up in August what they say. Have upped my protein since my 3 month checkup so that helps!!

How do I know how much to eat?

I sometimes start to burp and believe me, I don't want one more bite after that or I will be sick. Make sure you eat slow because at almost 8 months, if I wait to long to eat, I tend to eat too fast and then I am sorry!!

    Calorie consumption

Doc and nut were more interested in Protein, amount of sugar, and fat. I track my exercise, food, and water in myfitnesspal.com. At 3 months, they upped my amount of protein. In August, I have my 9 month checkup. I've lost 75.5 pounds since the end of October. Surgery Nov. 12th. I'm 66 so I lose at a slower weight and I enjoy water aerobics, but hate the walking because of the arthritis in my feet. Still walking my second 5 K in a couple of weeks. Hope that helps. Carol

    CPAP

I've been using the bipap for 9 years. Tried the nose with pillow but I'm a mouth breather, so had to wear two types of head gear...one to hold my mouth closed. Hated it so went back to the full mask. I had surgery in Nov. and have lost 75 pounds so hope at my 9 month checkup I can get signed up for a sleep study to see if I can get rid of it. May have to wait longer though according to my doctors. Good luck with it. Do you have humidifier attached to machine?? Carol

Let's Check In November 2012 Sleevers!

Congrats to all the people who lost. I'm up .4 pounds from last week but ate out last week 4 nights in a row on golf vacation in northern MI. I should be down tomorrow as I've lived in the bathroom today . Highest weight 225.5, today 150.4. Want out of the 150's. My PCP told me about 20 years ago he'd be happy if I got to 150. Surgeon wants me at 130. Still working on it. 5k color walk in 2 weeks!

    November Sleevesters?

Surgery 11/12/13 Highest weight 225.5 Today....155.2....Have been hanging here and going up a couple of pounds, but this is my lowest. Need to get back to Water aerobics when I'm back in town. Walked a 20 minute mile outside and working on increasing speed. Have a 5K Color run/walk I'm doing in mid July. Going for a better time. Anyway, I wear a 16 or 14 on the bottom and a medium or large on top now. Started at 22/24 or 2x so am pleased about that. Will tuck my shirts in and wear a belt. Sleeveless is not great because of my angel wings. Have added back a few carbs like Barilla Plus Pasta, and brown rice. Eat just about 3 tablespoons with Protein and vegetables. Still a Protein shake a day, to keep my protein up or a Pure Protein chocolate and Peanut Butter bar or ProtiDiet chocolate crisp bar. Add skim milk to my coffee and make a iced coffee with sugar free syrup. Goes down easier than water. Hope everyone else is doing well. Down to below birth weight of both my kids with my youngest being 39 now. More energy!!! Still want to eat things I shouldn't but luckily, my stomach is too small. Had 1 small handful of popcorn at the movie yesterday, and then went back to my iced coffee with decaf coffee. Good luck everyone. Carol
